Donald Trump has doubled down on his plan to bring in over 600,000 Chinese college students to the United States, in a polarizing move that has divided the MAGA base.
However, the president has batted away criticism, declaring, “I know what MAGA wants better than anybody else.”
His plan will see the annual number of visas offered to Chinese students increase to the new figure over the next two years, up from the current 300,000.

Laura Ingraham grilled the president, telling Trump that “a lot of MAGA folks are not thrilled” about his plan.
“Yeah, but you would have, as you know, historically Black colleges and universities would all be out of business,” Trump said.
Ingraham suggested that this means the United States has become “dependent on China” to keep its university system afloat, with Trump merely replying that he wants “to be able to get along with the world.”

He also rejected the idea that his plan had split MAGA, telling Ingraham that “MAGA was my idea.”
“MAGA was nobody else’s idea,” he said. “I know what MAGA wants better than anybody else, and MAGA wants to see our country thrive.”

Trump is wrong in his public stand on this.
If he wants to feed these students mis information and seed them with erroneous data, he should be more circumspect about thier continuing to infiltrate America.
Trump should lower the number so that each student here from China is placed under surveillance.Six hundred thousand of them is way t9 many....its all about the money they bring, and the access to China markets that Xi is dangling in front of PDJT.
China also needs t0be stopped from purchasing US agricultural land around US military bases.That policy needs to be implemented.
Sounds like one of his negotiations to get something he wants out of China. What they’re desperately wanting is the most educated population EVER. If we help them do that, they’ll give a lot. Yes, they like spying. Yes, they like replicating inventions of other people. But education first and everything.
And if we want to improve the educational level of this country, THEY are who we need to compete against from KG up. And if they always beat us, we don’t just cheat the battlefield, we harden the soldiers fighting. Kids in America need to be as well educated as kids in China. THEN they can compete with Chinese students in American schools.
Until then, our students deserve the humiliation of always losing.
Revamp education while we still have congress. That’s a 12 year process and the fight of all fights.

Laura Ingraham looked shocked at some of the garbage coming out of Trump's mouth. Not just the about the 600,000 Chinese students, although that was bad enough. At one point, Trump actually said historically black colleges and universities would go bankrupt if we didn't let 600,000 Chinese come here. Yeah. Like the Chinese are all flocking to Norfolk State and Grambling. That's just nuts .
What was really troubling was the gaslighting about the economy. I mean, I hope it's gaslighting. I hope Trump isn't So of touch that he actually believes what he's saying. Trump Actually said it's the "greatest economy we've ever seen, all the polls are fake"
How is this any different from the gaslighting nonsense Joe Biden tried to pull with Bidenomics?
Pushing for this madness will cause an electoral blood at the next year. Talk about demoralization!
What the f…? I am flummoxed. This contradicts everything I have read for decades by snd about Trump and what I see daily with my own eyes in the neighborhoods of top universities with top science and engineering departments.
I don’t watch much cable news, but I did tune in to watch last night - mainly because I wanted some clarity on whether I’ll be again screwed out of the handout checks and some other things and yeah.
Look - I firmly believe people need to stop relying on the government for their financial well-being, but you really don’t do well in politics by saying that.
I think I counted 3 separate answers I expect to hear over and over again in Rat midterm ads.

And the president is great friends with Xi. he tells us over and over and he thinks Xi likes him too. They’re great friends.
I trust Trump on this. U.S. - China peace is a good thing. These students are not “spies” any more than are the Americans who study or teach in China. And I believe that more Americans ought to go do that (as I have).
