Ahead of this weekend’s nationwide “No Kings” rallies, Joe Rogan claimed that protesters across the country were either “losers,” actors paid by liberal billionaire George Soros or undercover federal agents.
On Wednesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the popular podcast host echoed an unfounded conspiracy theory pushed by President Donald Trump and his GOP allies about protesters that dates back several years.
“All those people that are protesting on the streets, 99% of them are losers,” Rogan said while puffing a cigar. “The other ones work for the Fed. It’s FBI agents and losers, that’s all it is.”
Rogan then turned his attention to Soros, the 95-year-old Hungarian-American investor and Democratic mega-donor.
“There’s a guy with a van who’s paid by George Soros and he’s got stacks of signs that were made at Kinko’s,” Rogan said. “They’re not homemade at all and you can just f***ing pass those bad boys out.
Rogan and Trump have occasionally diverged on certain issues, with the podcaster calling the administration’s aggressive immigration policy “horrific” just last week. But the two are aligned more often than not, and Rogan endorsed Trump prior to the 2024 election.
Soros is a frequent target of both men. Trump has accused Soros of funding everything from Black Lives Matters protesters in the summer of 2020 to the anti-ICE demonstrations that have spread across the country this year.
“I could tell you there are certain areas of Los Angeles that you could have called it an insurrection,” Trump said in June. “It was terrible, but these are paid insurrectionists. These are paid troublemakers.”
“The bad sick people that do what they do,” he added, “but these are paid people in many cases, not in all cases, but in many cases.”
Trump and his allies have recently painted the upcoming “No Kings” protests as anti-American rallies.
“This ‘Hate America’ rally that they have coming up for October 18,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said. “The antifa crowd and the pro-Hamas crowd and the Marxists, they’re all gonna gather on the mall. We got some House Democrats selling T-shirts for this event. It is an outrageous gathering for outrageous purposes.”
Like Trump and Rogan, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has claimed the protesters are being paid for their participation.
I agree. This was the most staged, curated, and (presumably) financed “protest” I ever saw.
I drove down a street where these “protesters” were lined up for at least a half of a mile. On both sides of the street, carefully standing on sidewalks and public property, these “protesters” were waving American flags, holding “hand-made” signs, and behaving themselves.
It took a LONG time to drive down this street. There were so many people that if one of them fell forward, it’d be tragic. Hence it was bumper to bumper.
As I looked around while in stop-and-go traffic, it wasn’t just old cat ladies and aging hippies. It was a sea of younger people punctuated with Boomers. Some of them were cheering. One guy yelled “release the files.”
By the way, almost everyone was white.
Later I saw reporting and interviews and social media posts. At least one person said they were paid to protest.
Since the road where the protest was held had almost no retail businesses that were open, I wondered…”where are they going to the bathroom?” I still don’t know; maybe the public library. Or maybe the busses had lavatories.
Finally, it all made sense: these were cosplaying protesters who prolly made $40 and got a box lunch, were handed signs made by slave labor, and were bussed in from elsewhere.
As mewzilla pointed out, “these roadside demonstrations…Are those an attempt to get around permits, if any are required?” Based in yesterday, that was CLEARLY a strategy.
Paid insurrectionists unlisted communists it’s a big tool they use and the chumps end up paying dearly.
Total nothingburger. If you weren’t consciously looking it up you never would never have known it happened.
i rode with a bunch of them in and out of Philly on the subway, they’re real. Trump has enemies don’t doubt it. It was mostly old folks, like myself.

As AP and NYT and the rest always said about Dem election count fraud, a conspiracy to frame Trump in lawfare and the idea that the Russia collusion story was a deliberate hoax. In the "news" they said "proven wrong" and other conclusions that fit their biased narrative.

I remember being on a college campus back in 82 or 83 and a wild-eyed, white-haired old woman accosted me suddenly and asked if I wanted to discuss “revolutionary policies.”
When I mentioned I supported Reagan she waved her hand at me, gave a vague insult, and hobbled away, muttering under her breath.
That’s because when they tried to get the blacks to riot over Trump making the inner cities markedly safer, they were told in no uncertain terms to go fornicate themselves.
Wasn't there a figure like that in The Hobbit, or The Lord of the Rings?

Thanks for boots on the ground report. I live way in the boondocks, “town” is tiny; the biggest protest I’ve seen was about 20 of the local hippies “Women in black” and I can’t even remember what that was for. But good ol’ boys drove trucks up and down the street make sure to smoke them out.
