A panel of judges announced Thursday that it was restoring Hantz Marconi’s law license with no restrictions after concluding that she had not committed a "serious crime" that would otherwise be grounds for disbarment or removal from the bench.
(The Center Square) — A Supreme Court panel has cleared the way for Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi to return to the bench, only days after she pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge for trying to influence a criminal case against her husband.
A panel of judges announced Thursday that it was restoring Hantz Marconi’s law license with no restrictions after concluding that she had not committed a "serious crime" that would otherwise be grounds for disbarment or removal from the bench.
That ruling clears the way for Hantz Marconi, who's been on suspension since the criminal investigation against her was announced, to continue practicing law and resume hearing cases before the state's highest court.
On Tuesday, the embattled judge pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge for soliciting former Gov. Chris Sununu to intervene on behalf of her husband's corruption case.
Hantz Marconi was indicted in October on two class B felonies and five misdemeanors for allegedly interfering with the criminal investigation of her husband, Geno Marconi, former director of the New Hampshire Port Authority, who was indicted on separate charges. She was also charged with five misdemeanors, including criminal solicitation and obstructing government administration. Her trial was set to get underway next month

There is no two-tiered system of justice, and if you say there is we will prosecute you. You might beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride.
This is why no one trusts the legal system.
Misdemeanor or not, it was the very type of crime, and charges(activity), that reveals that a judge should not be a judge.
ABSOLUTELY should NEVER have happened.
EXACTLY.
She CAN’T be trusted.
If it was some drunken hijinks or maybe reckless driving I could see taking a pass. But this is corruption of justice. I wonder if she was charged with a felony and pled it down to a misdemeanor.
Right there in the article - two felonies and a total of ten misdemeanors. All pled down to one misdemeanor with no jail time.
If you are a nurse or another kind of provider you could easily lose your license if tou have a felony or a felony pled down to a misdemeanor...
This stinks
Sounds like the Supreme Court of New Hampshire is as corrupt as she is.
As Bill would say “it depends on what the meaning of serious crime is.......”

From a quick overall review, it appears it may be politically motivated charges. The evidence seems rather muddy.
Hard to know exactly what is correct. Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi is a Republican.
I did, what did I miss?
She looks liberal to me.
Ergo, trusteth her not.
Very not.
