 Don't Get Too Close! PHILIPPINE SEA – Master Chief Fire Control Technician Frank Cook, chief of the boat of the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Jefferson City (SSN 759), opens a torpedo tube during a family day cruise aboard the ship. The cruise provided guests with a unique opportunity to observe routine operations of a Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine. Jefferson City is capable of supporting various missions, including anti-submarine warfare, anti-ship warfare, strike warfare and intelligence, surveillance reconnaissance. Ice Cream Social On The High Seas! Sailors assigned to the world’s largest aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), participate in an ice cream social hosted by morale, wellness and recreation (MWR) in the aft galley. Ford is the U.S. Navy’s newest and most advanced aircraft carrier, representing a generational leap in the U.S. Navy’s capacity to project power on a global scale. The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied, and partner interests. Not Everyone Gets To Have Ice Cream Socials! Ooh Rah!! U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Freedom On Display!The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron “Thunderbirds” #1-4 fly F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft in a formation above the McChord Field flightline while performing during the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Airshow and Warrior Expo at JBLM, Washington. The mission of the JAWE is to foster goodwill to educate and familiarize attendees with the people, mission, and equipment of the Air Force, Army, and other Armed Services while continuing to provide installation-wide mission support. Hey there, radu!
It sure was, and might be even hotter tomorrow. I hope they’re wrong. Neither of us should be having HEAT in October. WARMTH, yes. HEAT, no.
Hope your day went well. Did you get some of that mowing done? I did some more housecleaning. I think I’m about to get all caught up. Yay!

It’s going to stay toasty here through the weekend, then start slowly cooling off next week to where we should be ...... around 80.
I did get more mowing done this afternoon after I brought Big’Un home from the vet. It was too hot to go out to do it before then.

Around 80 sounds heavenly right now. The good part is that since the evenings are longer, it cools off quicker and gets down into the low-to-mid 60s by morning. Very nice.
Bravo that you got more mowing done! I hope Big’Un is feeling better now that he’s [she’s?] back home.
