Anita Bryant was an Okie, but for many years, she was the voice of the Florida citrus industry. This is one of my favorite songs of the 1960s.

Not exactly rockin’ but definitely Floridian.

The English composer Frederick Delius was the manager of an orange grove for a while in his early 20s. He wrote this after going back to Europe.

This song has been on my personal Top 10--a list of my favorite songs of all time. The vocal refrain is by James Melton of Ocala, Fla.
