Line’em Up! KC-135 Stratotankers assigned to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing and 141st Air Refueling Wing taxi into position before takeoff as part of Operation Centennial Contact at Fairchild Air force Base, Washington. The movement, which included stops at Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rushmore and Glacier National Park, was part of Air Mobility Command’s celebration of 100 years air refueling operations and demonstrated the 92nd Air Refueling Wing’s global reach capabilities. Since its inception in 1923, Air refueling has become a crucial component of military and civilian aviation operations around the world by extending the range and endurance of aircraft and enabling them to complete missions that would otherwise be impossible or require multiple stops. As a result, this capability is essential for strategic and tactical operations, as well as humanitarian relief efforts in support of AMC, U.S. Transportation Command and Department of Defense priorities. Howdy, luvie.
Hope your day was good.
I almost got a little rain this afternoon but it passed just to the west.
Instead, I got dust. Lots of it from across the road. gack!

Howdy, PRO.
Hope all’s going well up your way.
Still summer here but not too bad. Just dry. Great for the farmers who are busy harvesting crops - - and choking the whole area with their dust.

Hey there, radu!
It was a good day despite the no-nap thing. I tried to doze off when I got home from class, but I knew I needed to post the ping, so I never did drift off. Plus Ginger was insisting on constant petting. LOL!
Dang! Sorry you didn’t get the rain. You could have breathed today. Ugh. Hope he’ll be done soon. Then comes the cotton......

Hiya radu, doing well and summer weather is in a transition phase, cooler temps in the AM (had to put on sweatpants the last few days!) but pleasant, warm days.
Great fruit harvests here, been eating some delicious pears and apples lately.
Son's over for dinner tonight, we went out to lunch today too to the Mongolian Grill, don't know if you have any down there but a yummy time was had for both of us.
Are your kittehs in a behaving mode?

LOL I reckon you won’t stay up until 4 a.m. tonight!
Several showers blew up all around this part of the state but nothing came here. They say we have some chances next week but they aren’t very high.
It seems to be taking them longer across the road this year than usual. I’ll certainly be glad when they finish. So will my neighbor across the road. I ran into her at the store this afternoon and asked if she was still happy they moved here. LOL She is but she’s ready for the dust clouds to end. Their house is surrounded on three sides by that field.

Sounds a lot like the weather here. Gets a little chilly overnight but it warms up quickly once the sun comes up. Highs have been in the mid to upper 80s and that’s not too bad.
I hope all the fruit farmers there have great yields. Farmers here should do ok, depending on when they planted. The earlier ones got rain at the right time, when the grains needed rain to plump them up. The later ones might not do as well but they’ll still have a crop. Last year was so dry, some of them didn’t get anything. Those who did got a much smaller yield than normal.
No Mongolian Grills around here but maybe in one or more of the larger cities. We’re overrun with Mexican restaurants and fast food chains. Needless to say, I don’t eat out much. One really good Italian restaurant and that’s where I go when I do eat out.
The kittehs have been fairly laid back lately, which I do enjoy! LOL It won’t last. It never does. :-)

I sure won’t. I’m already dragging, and I have to get up at 10am so I can have my tea before heading off to the dermatologist. Ugh.
Isn’t that annoying when everyone gets rain...and you can even smell it....but you are left high and dry? I hope your chances improve next week.
Maybe it’s taking them longer because the corn was healthier and they have to empty the hopper more often. Is this the first year for those neighbors to experience the lovely dust. I’m so glad such nice people have that lovely home.
