I tend to start reading "media" with a cynicism born of experience. When something as emotional as is this whole tragic tale, it is quite human to lose perspective. But the quote I cited comes at the beginning of the article.
We Freepers should be very attentive to something like "...Sources familiar with the case ...."
Experts say. Scientists say. Polls say. "On the condition of anonymity" says. SSDD. So often is media "messaging," rather in the same way as artillery is used to soften a target, and the like.

Cynicism regarding the media didn’t used to be so rare here.

What it is, is both are deluded homos that don't want to admit they are homo because of the 'ick' factor (this also multiplies their self-loathing). So shooter can tell himself the other guy is the 'girl', and the tranny deludes himself that he is the 'girl'.
It is such a thin veneer that the mental breaks come fast and furious. In their small circle of non-online friends, the non-tranny homos in their 'fam' tell them they are delusional; their families tell them they are delusional; and then they catch their online gaming conspirator cohorts telling others behind their back, that they are delusional.
Again, way ahead of the curve (see #122), when there is yet something else no one has noticed -- the majority of the mens rea behind this delusional homo murderer, is a Taxi Driver / Hinckley Jr.-style assassination by shooter to impress his boyfriend.
And that is truly dangerous because it is almost always only known to the shooter.
