Good evening ML ((HUGS))
Thanks for hangin' with us and keeping their remembrance alive.
And I had forgotten about the Benghazi attack on year after 9/11. We shouldn't forget that. "Members of the Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia carried out a coordinated attack against two United States government facilities in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. "

What the assissination college campus culture has with the murderous inner cities across america is that both are heavily subsidized and legitimized by the federal government

Good evening Pro ((HUGS))
It surely has been an emotional roller coaster.
Still trying to keep up on the hunt for the assassin.
And I had forgotten about the Benghazi attack one year after 9/11. We shouldn't forget that.

I remember flying to California a week after 9-11 to visit our son. I was a nervous wreck the entire flight, as I'm sure others were, too. I wore a bracelet that said "And lo, I am with you always..." that gave me a bit of comfort. I just remember how strangely patriotic people of the lefty state of CA were then. I've never seen so many flags flying or patriotic decor on the overpasses of the freeways. Of course, it didn't last long. But it was uplifting to see it at the time. God BLESS AMERICA!! |

I had forgotten all about that. 😵💫
I have a memory: Do you remember the mullah or whoever he was that ordered the 1st bombing of the Trade Centers? Well, I’ll swear that his trial there in New York was supposed to start that day. It was one of the first things I thought of when I heard that the 2nd plane had flown into the buildings. Am I wrong? I haven’t been able, since then, to find one newspaper article about it.

Hi, Janey! it’s been a rotten few days, hasn’t it? I hope you have gotten to take to the airways to clear your mind of it all.

I had already planned a surprise trip for hubby to go to a home game in Michigan before this. His trip was due after the 9/11 attack and he was very uneasy about flying to Detroit. After I assured him that it would probably be one of the safest days to fly, he went and enjoyed his trip and game.
A home college game is not easy to get tickets for but one of his brothers-in-law was able to get tickets for them. So glad he got to go.

Indeed.
I remember the wave of patriotism that came and went, unfortunately.
However, we have kept it alive here on FR.
