Trump is taking more interest in a story about the savage slaughter of a young woman than the entire media class was, which is odd, seeing how VERY interested they were in covering the Penny self-defense case.
While obviously, any murder is a horrific injustice, we have different categories in our minds for an emotional outburst that flares up into irreversible acts of violence, as opposed to the random selecting of an unsuspecting stranger for the purpose of unprovoked violence.
Here is Trump being asked about a violent attack in August that the news has said little about.
Elon has helped other right-of-center social media accounts bring attention to the story that did not rise to the level of being a national story like they did with the death of Jordan Neely, or the death of Saint George of Minnesota.
Iryna Zarutska escaped the war in Ukraine, seeking asylum here with family members, only to be murdered by a cowardly attack from behind in Charlotte, while riding a train.
A 23-year-old woman was stabbed to death on a Charlotte train over two weeks ago. Now, officials with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) have released surveillance footage from the incident.
On Friday, Aug. 22, Iryna Zarutska boarded the CATS Blue Line and sat in an aisle seat in front of Decarlos Brown. Video footage shows that she was wearing headphones, and the two had no interaction, according to ABC affiliate WSOC.
The train was en route to the East/West Boulevard Station, and there were many passengers on board.
During the ride, Brown, unprovoked, pulled out a knife and stabbed Zarutska to death. After the attack, video shows Brown walking to the other end of the train and removing his hoodie. Several passengers rushed to help Zarutska. — ABC11
Local news covered the story, but it didn’t really break through to national attention. With Trump being asked about it, and promising to find out about it, that’s about to change.
The man charged with her murder has a criminal history, and it’s a sad reflection on where we are as a society that multiple Go Fund Me campaigns sprang up in his defense, whether authentic or scammers trying to profit off the story. Per their policy, they are being taken down.
The mayor’s statement focused on the heartbreak of the loss of life, and consequences on the family. But offered nothing in the way of denouncing the person responsible for such a violent and unprovoked act.

I just hope they fix DeCarlos in some sort of way so he can' t kill anyone else.

The mayor Vi Lyles (sometimes called Vile Lies) DID NOT FOCUS on the victim. She had ONE sentence about the victim. The rest of the lengthy statement was about the poor killer who had a lenghty mental health (and crime) history.
I’m more interested in what the “judges” and other “criminal justice” morons who let this creep out have to say in statements as they are tried and hung for accessory to murder.
They used to have special asylums for the criminally insane.
Guess they had to close those down, for “equity” no doubt.

The entire Democrat Party is an accessory to this murder.

Also, the cost factor of mental institutions began the deinstitutionalization in the 1950s with another wave beginning roughly fifteen years after and focused on individuals who had in the 1960’s. Indirect cost-shifting created “re-institutionalization” through using increased jail detention for the individuals with unmanageable and noncompliant mental disorders.

My Uncle Sheriff of St. Clair County Alabama back in the late 40’s to early 50’s would have taken care of this situation very quickly, no judge would have let him out.
