Federal judges anonymously criticize Supreme Court over Trump cases
The Hill ^ | 9/4/25 | Elizabeth Crisp

A dozen federal judges across the political spectrum have spoken out against the Supreme Court’s handling of cases involving President Trump amid intense public scrutiny of lower court rulings.

The 12 judges spoke to NBC News on condition that they not be identified out of fear of retaliation, so it’s unclear who they are or where they located. NBC reported the slate includes judges “appointed by Democratic and Republican presidents, including Trump, and serving around the country.”

They pushed back on what they described as a pattern of emergency rulings from the conservative-leaning high court in response to lower court decisions on contentious cases involving the Trump administration. Three of the Supreme Court justices were picked by Trump during his first White House term.

Federal judges who spoke to NBC News said the Supreme Court should better explain its emergency rulings.

Its almost as if the Supreme Court does not recognize the sacred office of the 670 “Super Executive Legislative Judges” who are there to veto anything the other branches do that they personally don’t like. They seem to think the judges are supposed to busy themselves with actually applying the law rather than dictating it—as if judges were part of the Judiciary and not supreme rulers over all! For shame! For shame!

Roberts? House?

Such cowards. You have the authority to shut these courts down and/or remove or reshape them all.

Works for me. Now we can agree that all judges are corrupted, compromised, and of selective courage only against 80 year old grannies praying on a public sidewalk.

Trump is outing the federal judiciary for exactly who and what they are, and it's of their own conduct.

Completely improper behavior which I’m certain violates the Judicial Code of Conduct.

“across the political spectrum “

Well that is the kind of lying BS we have come to expect from The Hill. Cute how one of these hacks went running to NBC

If the judges are anonymous how do we know the media did not just make up the story? They often have done this in the past.

said the Supreme Court should better explain its emergency rulings.

I kind of agree, the SCOTUS should provide a ruling something like:

The President as the chief executive has enormous power given by the Constitution, lower courts are not likewise empowered. As such great care must be taken by the courts to overrule the actions of the Chief Executive.

It would be better for lower courts provide their opinion and then petition the higher courts without stopping the Presidential actions.

I think you have seen the play here. This is an effort to get his mind right. Roberts is very susceptible to this kind of influence. As Chief Justice he can be in the minority but still steer the SC’s direction.

The Constitution and common law was originally intended to benefit everyone. The legal profession, the law schools, the BAR, all of organized US law has gradually gravitated into serving itself, rather than serving its clients.

Lawyers are the single biggest profession in both Congress and State Legislatures. This is a problem. There is a small , important place for lawyers. But their control of a sector of society is a drag.

This is similar to the way the CDC and Medical Profession are a drag on health. They serve themselves and mistakenly think that serving themselves is serving everyone.
