After backlash from both the right and left, and even advice from President Trump following the recent decision to change its logo, Cracker Barrel announced Tuesday evening that it would keep Uncle Herschel along with the barrel, rather than move forward with the minimalist design that was unveiled last week. While it’s a good sign that the restaurant chain listened to customers, those on the right aren’t entirely satisfied.
Responding to Cracker Barrel's post on X announcing the latest decision, activist Robby Starbuck, who's made bringing normalcy back to corporate America his mission, wondered if they have any plans to ditch their wokeness. When all the backlash began, Starbuck did a deep dive on the company and what he found is one that champions values completely at odds with its clientele and would probably surprise most Americans.
Take a look and listen:
Cracker Barrel has been one of the most loved brands in America for decades… That changed this week with a logo redesign that infuriated the public but… the problem goes MUCH deeper than a logo. @CrackerBarrel has gone fully woke and now it’s time to expose everything. Here’s the highlights you need to know:
• Cracker Barrel has funded "all ages" Pride events for many years like Nashville Pride and Third River City Pride.
• Cracker Barrel worked with the far left HRC organization and reportedly sponsored HRC events for 10 years. They even brought an HRC representative to their Tennessee HQ to do a pronoun and transgenderism training. We’ve included photos of this in the video. As a reminder, the HRC supports child sex changes and men in women’s bathrooms. They work to normalize/legalize both things and they work to force transgenderism in the workplace.
• Cracker Barrel worked with a group called Conexión Américas as part of their DEI efforts. This group helps illegal immigrants, providing them lawyers and the executive director opposes President Trump’s deportations.
• Cracker Barrel sponsored the Out & Equal LGBTQ Workplace Advocate Conference and presented a workshop on how Cracker Barrel has made progress supporting LGBTQ+ causes. This group works to push sexual topics and pronouns into the workplace.
• Cracker Barrel was awarded Out & Equal’s 2018 top LGBT ERG group award and they won the Nashville LGBT Chamber of Commerce "Corporate Diversity" award.
• CB created a special "diverse" suppliers program focused on increasing "diversity" among suppliers. To most people this just reads as: less white people.
• Had Coming out day pamphlets passed out at their TN headquarters as well as pamphlets about supporting "LGBTQ YOUTH" and creating "Safe Zones" at work, free from "heterosexist or cwordgendered comments and actions" (X will downrank my post if I spell that word out). If you said anything activists would describe as "heterosexist" then you were told that you’d be "educated" by their LGBT office group.
• CB has had multiple DEI focused employees and had CB employees attend DEI roundtables.
• CB had pride flags at their corporate office.
• CB promoted the Stonewall riot to employees and on their website despite the fact that the Stonewall Inn was reportedly owned by the mafia, rife with drug dealing and also the site of teen "prostitution" for older men.
• Had a Cracker Barrel employee on the HRC’s business advisory council.
• Has ERG groups in the office that are divided by race and sexual preferences.
• A total commitment to DEI policies.
• CB has had MANY activist employees driving this far left policy agenda, including a head of training + management, top execs and a board of directors member who owns a DEI consulting firm.
To put it mildly, Cracker Barrel has forgotten who their core customers are. It’s time for us to remind them. They depend on YOU to keep their business afloat so now YOU have to ask yourself: Do you want to fund people or companies that hate your values?
As always, Starbuck encouraged customers to contact Cracker Barrel and respectfully let them know what they think about their values.
"We have to take our power back as consumers," he said. "Every company needs to get the message that THIS ENDS NOW."
yeah they have another problem—- their food isn’t that great
There are a lot of better places than CB. I prefer Mom and Pop places anyhow
The whole point of forced DEI at Cracker Barrel was to take the company down. The DEI groups could care less about eating there. Very similar to the Bud Light fiasco. Playing to a crown that wasn’t going to purchase their product because they embraced DEI.
*couldn’t
Wow. I’ve always enjoyed CB due to it’s nostalgic look and experience, but this list of “sponsorships” and activism has changed my mind about it. Bet Uncle Hershel would be none too happy about this kind of activity going on at a restaurant that displays his likeness.
They think toss a bone by keeping the old logo. We shall see. They have been exposed and l don’t think keeping the sign will stop the bleed.
With a list like that I would pee my pants before stepping foot in a CB to even use their bathroom. Which, in the past, we had many times when travelling.
I agree.
If the franchise focused/advertised on both quality and value - they would attract more customers.
Make no difference to me, we are done with Cracker Barrel no matter what they do to the logo, stores or menu. Final answer.
As an example - Keithsburg Cafe, in Canton, GA is a mile or so away from the CB on I-575. Keithsburg is a great local breakfast and lunch place, meat and two, old school. Much, much better than CB.

what problem?
the she/her CEO?
the rainbow painted rockers on the porch?
Our local CB was packed. We’ll see what transpires if they decide to adapt the redesigned interior. I know what I’ll do...or not do anymore.
Heritage Diner in Midvale, Utah. Very nice.
We have no breakfast restaurants except fast food here in Rome, NY. The closest Cracker Barrel to me is about 45 minutes away in Cicero, NY. The closest place that serves breakfast all day is the casino half an hour away, and you pay through the nose for it. There was a Denny's here for a long time connected to the Quality Inn. It closed in March of this year as part of Denny's restaurant reduction. The Inn changed to a Wyndham Ramada and Denny's has not been replaced. The only major chain restaurant here is Applebee's. We have a ton of pizza joints.
So they’re big Lefties and inevitably, it’s going to show one way or another.
The logo changed garnered mega-national attention, so the LGBT, DEI, woke forcings and Democrat ties that were previously unknown to everyone outside those groups will now be well known by most of Cracker Barrel customers.
So, we shall see how many customers remain loyal to the woke company restaurants.
I don’t know why BC glasses became so cool.
