The European Union made their position on President Donald Trump's "land swapping" push clear following a ministerial powwow on Monday, and told Fox News Digital, there should be no "concessions" until Russia agrees to stop its war.
"Russia has not agreed to full and unconditional ceasefire, we should not even discuss any concessions," EU policy chief Kaja Kallas told Fox News Digital in a written statement. "It has never worked in the past with Russia, and will not work with Putin today.
"The sequencing of the steps is important," she added. "First an unconditional ceasefire with a strong monitoring system and ironclad security guarantees."
"As we work towards a sustainable and just peace, international law is clear: All temporarily occupied territories belong to Ukraine," Kallas said. "A sustainable peace also means that aggression cannot be rewarded."

This is the second time Trump has tried to end the killing on both sides.
He should wipe his hands of this mess and let the EU Countries deal with it.
Just let the EU fight Russia.
The positions of the EU and Ukraine and Russia are so strident that we should just let them fight it out.
As soon as we leave.

Yup. If it doesn’t work out this week he can tell them we are done. Fight it yourself. Pay for it yourself.
Europe wants war, so who are we to stop them?
EU wants a war. They think they can drag the US into it.
Stunning and brave EU policy chief Kaja Kallas.
EU hits back at Trump. Coalition of the willing anyone
Might be nice if they stop buying Russian oil, first.
Once they start ponying up some serious money, we’ll let them speak.
Go to it Europe...it’s all yours.
They need war because they're running out of repressive moves to squash the quickly increasing dissent and citizen pushbacks against their degenerate, leftist policies. But even if the pigs in Brussels, France, Germany and the UK do manage to provoke a war with Russia, the fact is that at this point most Europeans will not get behind it.
And if/when Russian missiles start raining down on Europe the most dangerous job in the world will switch from Alaskan King Crab fishing to being an EU bureaucrat or British MP. . .
Re: “Might be nice if they stop buying Russian oil, first”
Well, put sanctions in the EU for buying Russian oil, (like we did to India).
At this point, I’m like:
“OK, EU. It’s all yours. Send your own troops, money, munitions, whatever. Don’t come crying to me when you completely bungle it.”
The Eurocrats are not in charge of anything. If they were capable of creating a peaceful situation they would’ve done so three or four years ago.
Daddy is taking charge now.
Both the EU and Ukraine are liberal brats. Don’t confuse me the facts, with deaths, with leverage.
I’m just going to stand here & throw a hissy fit until I get it just the way I want it.
Very sad for the Russian & Ukrainian people
Arrogant Europeans. Wrong about socialism. Wrong about illegal immigration (and thus committing national suicide). Wrong about economics. Wrong about individuality and self determinism. Responsible for the deaths of many, many millions.
They brought us WWI, WWII, Marxism, the Holocaust, Vietnam, the mess of poorly thought out contrived nation boundries (eg India, Pakistan, Nepal, etc.), and perpetuation of the stupidity of royalty - replacing Kings and Queens with the equivalent of politically - imposed serfdom.
Europe has become the ‘anti-compass’ for guiding the world.
That could well be the final outcome. Trump can rightfully claim that he did his best to help resolve the conflict and now leave the war to others who want to wallow in this endless morass.
We have much to do here at home. Lets focus on that. America First.
