Never Forget! Soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, “Buffaloes,” 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, conduct a memorial boot run, wreath laying ceremony, and range commemoration ceremony ahead of Memorial Day at Camp Casey, South Korea. The battalion honored 22 fallen Soldiers from the Global War on Terrorism and added a 17th Infantry Regiment crest to the hillside in honor of Medal of Honor recipient, Sgt. Einar H. Ingman Jr. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Jeff Beggs)

Canteen Mission Statement
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies' military and family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

The Oscar for Fake Simulated Casualty Goes To…! U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) carry a simulated casualty after a notional aftershock during a simulated foreign humanitarian assistance (FHA) part of Composite Training Unit Exercise in Perry, Georgia. FHA consists of Department of Defense activities conducted outside of the U.S. and its territories to directly relieve or reduce human suffering, disease, hunger, or privation. FHA is intended to supplement or complement efforts of host nation civil authorities or agencies with the primary responsibility for providing assistance. The 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit serves as one of the Nation’s premier crisis response forces capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response, and limited contingency operations, to include enabling follow-on forces and special operations. Preparing To Refuel! A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon from the 18th Aggressor Squadron, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, prepares to receive fuel from a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 92d Air Refueling Wing during Northern Edge 23-1. NE 23-1 provides effective, flexible and capabilities-centered joint forces, ready for deployment worldwide, and enables real-world proficiency in detection, identification and tracking of units at sea, in the air and on land, and response to multiple crises. (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt. Ariana Wilkinson)
JUMP! U.S. Air Force pararescuemen jump out of an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft during RED FLAG-Rescue 23-1 over New Mexico. RF-R allows Airmen to experience simulated combat search and rescue operations to better prepare them for real-world scenarios. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman 1st Class Paige Weldon)

Hangin’ With Lemonhead! Ten-year-old Duane Shaw and six-year-old Mason Matamoros posed with Mr. Lemonhead after earning top honors during the Lemonade Day Best Tasting event at Carl Levin Park. (U.S. Army photo by Janecze Wright, Fort Cavazos, TX, Public Affairs)
I can think of 20 things I’d rather be doing than this! Sailors assigned to USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) ride in a CH-53 Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 362 (Rein.), 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in the Pacific Ocean. The heavy-lift helicopter can carry a 26,000-pound Light Armored Vehicle, 16 tons of cargo 50 miles and back, or enough combat-loaded Marines to lead an assault or humanitarian operation. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, comprised of amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and amphibious transport docks USS Anchorage (LPD 23) and John P. Murtha, is currently underway conducting routine operations in U.S. 3rd Fleet with the embarked 13th MEU. (U.S. Navy photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Joshua Samoluk)
I Got This! Members of the 181st Intelligence Wing help place flags for the Wabash Valley Run for the Fallen along the trail outside of the Indiana State University Memorial Stadium. A total of 7000 flags were placed every 18 inches in memory of a fallen service member. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Master Sgt. L. Roland Sturm)

Those 80s sound like heaven. It got up to 96 here, and more coming for the weekend. I hope you get rain soon. Don’t need a bunch of wildfires breaking out.

Maybe he stretched out his time getting ready, just in case. LOL
My mood got a boost shortly after I woke up. Got a call to let me know Ol’ Betsy was ready to come home.
Then it got knocked down a little when I watched the weather report this evening. We have one more day under a heat advisory. GRRRRRR My hope is the front will come through early enough to cool things off in the afternoon. We’ll see.
