A federal judge on Wednesday denied the Justice Department’s bid to unseal Jeffrey Epstein grand jury transcripts from a Florida investigation.
Florida-based US District Judge Robin Rosenberg, an Obama appointee, said the DOJ failed to justify unsealing the records related to grand juries in West Palm Beach in 2005-2007.
Judge Rosenberg also denied a request to transfer the matter to the Southern District of New York.

A U.S. judge on Wednesday denied a U.S. Justice Department bid to unseal grand jury transcripts related to the late financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in South Florida, the first ruling in a series of attempts by President Donald Trump’s administration to release more information on the case.
The request stemmed from federal investigations into Epstein in 2005 and 2007, according to court documents. The Justice Department has pending requests to unseal transcripts in Manhattan federal court related to a later indictment brought against Epstein and his former associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
U.S. District Judge Robin Rosenberg found that the Justice Department’s request in Florida did not fall into any of the exceptions to rules requiring grand jury material be kept secret.
The Justice Department has separately asked New York-based Judge Paul Engelmayer, also an Obama appointee, to unseal grand jury records related to Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking cases.
The court documents are related to the 2019 grand jury indictment charging Jeffrey Epstein with sex trafficking offenses and the June 2020 grand jury indictment of Ghislaine Maxwell with numerous offenses related to the trafficking and coercion of minors.
Judge Englemayer made a list of demands in his response to the Justice Department.
Englemayer said he needs more information before he unseals grand jury transcripts.

As expected. Grand Jury records are sealed for a reason and very seldom opened.
The cynic might say Trump and Bondi knew this would be the result all along and went along with the game to appease those demanding “moar Epstein” when the Boss wanted them to let it go.
There is real law.
And there is Dorkbama (the Muslim eunuch quote president) judge “law”.
They are on opposite sides of the universe.
Daily Mail headline had it as bad news for Blondi.
Not so sure about that.
As a conspiracy theorist, maybe that was the plan.
Offering something that they suspected wouldn’t be approved in the first plan.
That way Blondi has just a tad bit of cover to say we wanted to release more but Trump’s enemies in the judicial branch would have none of it.
But in reality nothing is taking Blondi off the hook, she will have to face a public questioning at some point.

This is just a delaying tactic for both sides.
The judge said that he wants more detailed info on just exactly what is to be released, a reasonable request.
Obviously not ALL info is pertinent to the case at hand, so the DOJ will have to write a detailed listing of just exactly what they want released. Which will, of necessity, take a large amount of time..................
Exceptions are rare.
The bottom line...what the hell are people trying to find out...that will change the course of events. They don't even know.
How many of these (I need names) have read Bondi's original release in February which has names up the kazoo.

Start with FBI Vault for released files. Ties remain speculative per July 2025 DOJ memo.
GJ testimony is supposed to stay sealed. The judge is just asking for a detailed listing of what is to be released. A reasonable request.
Obviously not all testimony is germane to the case and should stay sealed................

What is she supposed to reveal if the court records ( containing evidence and naming names and witnesses) cannot be legally revealed? Hmmm?
Maybe Epstein drove past your house once, did a legit business deal with a member of your family or friends or a company you did business with, attended a party you were at, donated to a charity you also support, or …
