Ukrainians have lost faith in Zelensky
The Spectator ^ | July 19, 2025 | Owen Matthews

Donald Trump this week boosted Ukraine’s air defences with new Patriot batteries, threatened Vladimir Putin with sanctions if he does not agree to a ceasefire, and even reportedly gave tacit approval to more Ukrainian strikes on Moscow. Trump’s newfound support for Ukraine is a welcome lifeline. The question is whether his help will be enough to stop Russia’s relentless attacks before Ukraine is engulfed in a critical military, political and social crisis that threatens to destroy it from within.

Putin chose war over peace this spring because his spies and generals told him that Ukraine is on the brink of collapse. Alarmingly, they may be right. Ukraine is running out of fighting men, its frontline soldiers are exhausted and US military support has narrowed to focus on air defence. The Kyiv government is racked by corruption scandals and purges, public faith in their future and in their leaders is tanking and pressure to make peace at almost any price is growing.

In many ways the most remarkable thing about the conflict is that Ukraine still fights on despite the merciless and titanic punishment that Russia has meted out on its soldiers, civilians and infrastructure.

‘If the war continues soon there will be no Ukraine left to fight for,’ one former senior official in Zelensky’s administration tells me. They now believe their former boss is ‘prolonging the war to hold on to power’. Even once-staunch pro-Zelensky cheerleaders such as Mariia Berlinska, head of the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Centre, a prominent Ukrainian volunteer movement, express despair. ‘We are hanging over the abyss,’ Berlinska said recently. ‘Ukraine is an expendable pawn in an American game… Trump, Putin, Xi [will] spend us like small change if they need to.’

First mistake was to elect a leader who played piano with his penis and danced dressed as a woman. Second mistake was not removing Zelvis sooner.

It’s not like they can vote him out of office because elections were cancelled.

Zeepers assure us that the NEO-Con installed Zelinski is popular... in the West, not Ukraine where he has used Martial Law to turn the state into a Nationalized Gulag to Shanghai meat for the Russian Grinder.

Biden and the NEO-Cons sould hang for what they did to enrich themselves using Ukrainian blood and to kill as they say more Russians. At some point the killing will come our way if we do not stop poking the Bear.

Zelinski will end up Britian or Israel, where all Western Goons go to hide; Franch is no longer safe.

Third mistake was dealing with the most corrupted nation in Europe who was tied directly to Hunter Biden , Nuland and McCain, Fourth, their deep Neo Nazi ties, and on and on…..

Everything about Ukraine stinks.

Oh, time for for DC and London to jettison Zelinsky and install that general they have in exile in London. Then they’ll flood us with flattering bios and news stories about “morning in Ukraine”, and “turning the corner” etc.

So transparent.

All Ukies that fled ( estimates are 10- 16 million) will have to vote at their Embassies across Europe,Ukie Ambassadors not in line with St Z’s policy of mass destruction are gone.

Whole article is worth reading

Even on this side of the pay wall, the article isn't worth lining your birdcage.

Putin chose war over peace this spring because his spies and generals told him that Ukraine is on the brink of...

We are supposed to believe that Putin's spies and generals confided with this author their secret war plans.

Let the reader take note: the author makes grand assertions about Ukraine leaders abandoning the war and Zelinski but when he quotes one that leader does not support the grand assertion.

A transparent bait and switch.

Pay if you like to get behind that pay wall, or for better results patronize your local palm reader.

In the first six months of this year, Ukraine’s Prosecutor’s Office reported that it had opened 107,672 new criminal cases for desertion. Since 2022 some 230,804 such criminal cases have been instigated, suggesting that more soldiers have deserted the Ukrainian army than there are fighting men in today’s British, French and German armies combined.

More Ukraine deserters than entire country's armed forces...🤔

That's on top of all those Ukrainians who got out at the beginning of the war.
If those were still there, they'd vote Zelenskyy out. If Zelenskyy allowed elections.

Google: “Since the start of the full-scale war, 43.0 million people left Ukraine, while 39.3 million entered; the difference between these numbers shows the number of people who left and did not return.”

3.7mm gone, according to the above...

“President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Jan. 15 that Ukraine’s military now comprises 880,000 soldiers, tasked with defending the entire country against 600,000 Russian troops concentrated in specific areas.”

“Since the start of the full-scale war, 43.0 million people left Ukraine, while 39.3 million entered;”

Google screwed it up. 43 million would be the total population before the war.

Maybe 39 million is the present?
