At least you weren’t as late as I was getting up this morning. The alarm went off just fine BUT it buzzed for an hour before it woke me up! ROTFL!!
Hope you got your walk in this morning before it got blazing hot.

Hope you stayed inside today. Wish I had but I couldn’t.
BUT I got the back yard mowed this evening. Didn’t head out until after 6:30 and didn’t think I’d get all of it finished but I managed to ... barely. Had barely enough light to see what I was doing to clean Champ off afterwards.

I stayed in till about 6:30pm myself, and it wasn’t too bad. Of course the car has AC and so did the restaurant we went to.
Glad you got a chance to do some of the mowing. I hope it had cooled off enough to be tolerable there, too. Was the Lady R meeting a good one?

Ah, finally got to head to the restaurant. Cool!
It was already blazing hot when I left for the meeting this morning. Hotter when I came home. I got lucky when I took Roxy to the vet this afternoon - - a lot of clouds to block the sun most of the way there and back. Kept it a few degrees cooler.
Most of the back yard is in shade by 6:30 so even though it was still hot, I went for it. Had to go slow because the grass was so thick with clippings from the last mowing and I figured I’d be lucky to get half finished before early dewfall, which we’ve had lately. Not today. The tires never got wet so I kept going.
It was a good meeting. I overslept by an hour and barely got there on time. We had a pot luck lunch and I reeeeeeally didn’t need to be late because I had the plates! And the ice for the tea.
Yes, we did, and it was worth it. It wasn’t horribly expensive either. That was really nice. LOL!
I hope we have clouds to block the sun when we head home on Saturday morning. It really makes a difference, huh. That was lucky since you HAD to make that trip!

Always makes for a nicer meal when it isn’t horribly expensive. LOL
It would be real nice if you have clouds again Sat. but it’ll be luck if you do. That system in the Gulf that turned out to be a nothing-burger might have given you clouds at the start of your trip but it’s pretty much fallen apart.
I was very lucky when I took Roxy to the vet. The clouds pretty much disappeared not too long after we got home.
I hope they get around to working on Ol’ Betsy soon. I drive past the mechanic’s shop when I go to the vet and she was still where I parked her yesterday. Felt so good when I drover her there. That AC works VERY well.
