DEVASTATING BLOW: Unelected Harry Reid-appointed Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough just STRUCK DOWN the DEFUNDING OF MEDICAID FOR ILLEGALS in the Big Beautiful Bill...AND defunding "gender-affirming care" under Medicaid and CHIP!

No, I am not joking! A 2012 Democrat lackey is gutting the bill right before our very eyes!

She says the provisions that limit federal dollars for states that give illegal aliens Medicaid benefits require 60 votes, not 50+1.

She also struck out limits on Medicaid, Medicare and ACA premium tax credits for non-citizen immigrants, per Punchbowl.

IGNORE THIS, OR FIRE HER, Mr. Thune

...

The Senate Parliamentarian must be FIRED - if not, her rulings need to be ignored.

She is gutting at least a dozen budget-related MAGA agenda items from the Big Beautiful Bill, right before we were supposed to pass it, saying much of what we voted for needs 60 votes, not 50+1.

Taxpayer funds for illegals on Medicaid...defunding sanctuary cities..."gender affirming care"...energy drilling... the list is becoming endless.

Make it happen, Senator Thune. Enough is enough.

Outrageous! What the hell is the point of having rules if we can’t break them whenever we want to!

So the President doesn’t get a line item veto but she does?

Congress doesn’t give a fig that the country is deeply in debt and has no desire to give priority to the citizens of this country.

The American left...out at sea in a sinking boat and clinging to the anchor, while the media heaps praise on the deck furniture, cocktails, and music.

From wikipedia:

“The role of the parliamentary staff is advisory, and the presiding officer or Senate may overrule the advice of the parliamentarian.”

Also:

“The Senate majority leader may also fire the parliamentarian, as occurred in 2001 during a dispute between parliamentarian Robert Dove and Majority Leader Trent Lott.[6]”

Oh! how wrong you are. They are faithful to the Cloward-Piven tactics in breaking our country while appearing to be institutional custodians of our government systems, and as such give their actions a perverse legitimacy.

Write a separate bill and pass it. Or whine.

So if Harry Reid appointed her, she should be fired and a new one selected.

Wouldn’t a separate bill require 60 votes for cloture?

Apparently, she does….

Trump, Vance, and the House leadership need to lean on the Senate leadership.

John Thune is the Senate majority leader and he’s been that since January. Why has he allowed this woman - appointed by Democrats - to hold her position? I realize Thune is Mitch McConnell’s dog on a leash, but surely he’s capable of some semblance of manhood?

If that is true, and the presiding officer is the VP Vance, then let’s move the BBB on to the President for signing.
