In baseball there is a rare but beautiful pitch known as the knuckleball. It is difficult to learn and takes a lifetime to perfect. It glides through the air without spin and zigzags from side to side before reaching the plate. Even the best knuckleball pitchers struggle to throw it effectively. Most catchers simply can’t react fast enough to the ball’s late movements to keep it in their mitts. Hall of Fame hitters look silly as they swing two feet away from a ball traveling slowly around their bats. When a knuckleball pitcher is on his game, batters never look more frustrated.
President Trump might just be the greatest knuckleballer of all time. In both domestic and foreign policy, he throws these pitches whose in-air movements seem to betray the laws of physics. His adversaries stand at the plate with big smiles and expect to launch Trump’s slow tosses over the fence. His putative allies trying to catch the ball behind home plate don’t like what they see and keep calling for a different pitch. But the president just grins and says, Now watch: I’m going to throw this thing very slowly, and that guy up there will fall over trying to hit it. It’ll be fabulous. And that’s exactly what happens.
As I write this, there is a tenuous ceasefire between Iran and Israel after two weeks of fighting. Trump is already trademarking it “The 12 Day War.” Will peace prevail? We will see. But did anybody expect the possibility? Not really.
The president’s announcement of an end to the war came only two days after he sent American pilots on a daring mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear facilities. That operation, codenamed Midnight Hammer, included multiple head fakes.

Trump is smart. I stand with America, MAGA, and Donald J Trump.
“ In high school at the New York Military Academy, Donald Trump played first base”
Though the article doesn’t say it, it’s also a reminder of the how one Democrat analyst described people perceiving Trump: Trump haters take him literally but not seriously while Trump supporters take him seriously but not literally.
Great fun article!
“end to the war came only two days after he sent American pilots on a daring mission “
I believe that at 8:00 this morning, SecDef Hegseth will have a presser addressing the pilots and how they’ve been dissed by the MSM.
Wasn’t he drafted, or almost drafted, by one of the major leagues? It seems I read that back in the early ‘90s.
“Trump haters take him literally but not seriously while Trump supporters take him seriously but not literally.”
What a great way to put it.
Their problem was that they tried to play him. One thing everyone seems to miss is that every day, all the time, Trump is looking for the best value he can get out of every situation. Okay, we set Iran back on its heels, what do we want, why [the unconstitutional war-monger betraying both sides of his base] Trump wanted peace where no one else saw peace. Ever.
The problem is that they set themselves up when they decided they were playing baseball. Sure Trump threw a couple of knuckleballs, but he is playing a different game entirely. The goal of being a tornado is what you rebuild after the tornado. That’s where his head is at. They are trying to lasso the tornado.
Pitcher, catcher, first base and short stop are imho the 4 toughest positions, not necessarily in that order.
This article points out why nothing ever seems to get done.
How many men have the moral compass, and the internal strength to stand up to the amount of pressure this President has had to endure. A lesser man would have crumbled to dust by now.
While Donald J. Trump has flaws, as President Trump he appears to be the man we need right now today. He may be the man that saves our nation, if not the world.
The way to catch a knuckleball is to wait until it stops rolling and then pick it up.

Yes, that was a hun read. 😁👍
Some backup catchers (Geno Petralli) made a career out of catching a knuckle baller (Charlie Hough)
He was priceless.
