UPMC has confirmed it will end gender-affirming care for patients 18 and younger in response to the Trump administration’s policies aimed at transgender youth.
A spokesperson for UPMC, the region’s largest hospital network, said federal guidance has made it clear clinicians who provide care such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy run the risk of criminal prosecution. UPMC will continue to provide behavioral health support and other care “within the bounds of the law,” the spokesperson added.
The spokesperson declined to say when care will end, but impacted families have been told June 30 is the cutoff.

There would be no “transgender youth” without “gender affirming care”. The poor children are victims of their own parents. The kid wants a Transformer? Mom gets them a Transformer. Kid wants a scooter? Mom gets them a scooter. Kid wants a sex change? Mom gets them a sex change. Moms act as if the latest Lululemon fad is the one thing that will make their child complete only they don’t care about the child only how they look to the other moms at the PTA meeting.

Correct. UPMC is one of the three biggest medical providers in the Pittsburgh area. The actually own the US Steel tower and USS is a tenant.
The deluded parents are being told wild lies by the teachers and especially the shrinks who infest education. The entire thing is a pseudoscientific invention of the Therapist lobby. Too many parents believe these degreed criminals’ lies. These fake experts on human behavior terrify the parents with lies about the supposed consequences of untreated gender disorders. All for money.

In most states that title goes to WalMart.

Yes, indeed. It is not just the insurance company, it is all the affiliated hospitals, clinics and educational institutions. The city of steel has long since become the city of hospitals and universities.
