It’s been pointed out by many spectators that the feud between the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, and arguably the world’s most powerful man, Donald Trump, is not going to end well for any involved.
And JD Vance, Trump’s political right hand, agrees.
The Tesla CEO and the president have fallen out to a major extent, at first over the White House’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which Musk says will undo all the work of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
But since Musk’s departure from Washington, D.C., several weeks ago, his attacks on President Trump have continued to ramp up. He has encouraged voters to outright rebel against the bill by contacting their political representatives, with Trump saying he was “disappointed” in Musk for such statements.
The man worth $342 billion hit back that Trump would have lost the election without his backing, with the president then threatening to terminate a host of government contracts to Musk’s private entities.
In response, Musk claimed that the president’s name was in the Epstein files—a gibe he provided no evidence to support. Speaking in an interview this week, Vice President Vance said any notion that Trump...

Elon’s own dad says he’s on the wrong side of this.......as intelligent as the guy is he strikes me as being an overgrown kid.
Before he bought Twitter, Elon was loved by the left. That cost him quite a lot of support, but after endorsing and campaigning for Trump it’s fair to say he hasn’t got any friends on the left.
But he gained the support of the vast majority on the right! In time it would have balanced out...but then the autist took the wheel.
Now he’s lost much of the support of Trump fans and I can’t imagine many non-Trump supporters on the right offset that because they hate what he did via DOGE.
So Elon has pretty much isolated himself again. Maybe he’ll be OK with that but I’m doubtful - he appeared to be having the time of his life with Trump. So stay tuned...
For all his brilliance, Musk is very self-destructive.
There is no blood feud ...
Have to love Yahoo News, describing Trump as “arguably” the most powerful man in the world. And who would Yahoo deem otherwise?
Sadly.
Trump should reach out to him privately and make this go away.
Vance can’t say it, but this mutually destructive feud needs to stop.
I’m glad this ‘theater’ is no longer the top White House story for a second consecutive week. The less heard about it, from either perspective, the better for the GOP. Back to more pressing issues!
Asperger's syndrome at play. When they go on a toot, "Katie bar the door".
He has Asperger’s! I believe he’s even admitted he takes medicine for it.
Vice President JD Vance ... emphasized his hope that Musk could eventually reconcile with the Trump administration...Vance warned that Musk’s aggressive political stance could backfire, both for his companies and the broader national interest.
This is why I don't understand people who still follow Yahoo news. "Blood feud"? Hardly. Musk "suffered a lot"? What did Musk "suffer"? The privilege and honor to be appointed by the President to an extra-governmental position to weed out excess funding and Fedgov corruption?
Not being a macro-economist, I don't know Trump's thinking on the BBB. I just wish they would stop bickering in public. I was encouraged they would make quite a difference.
He lost $200,000,000,000 of net worth and had Tesla dealerships burned to the ground and Tesla sales go off a cliff because of vandalism to Tesla EVs, so there's that.
I had a dear friend who had Asperger’s and passed away three years ago in his mid-80’s. He took criticism very personally and hit back with insults which led to more criticism. He pissed off so many in his small ethnic northern NM community that they responded with threats and he took to open carrying a loaded pistol on his hip. However he was very smart (knew computers and early computer programming) and as he aged organized specially tour events that brought folks from all over the US and overseas. He wasn’t diplomatic , a trait that allowed me to assist him in operation and brought success for those attending. He moved to Texas after a severe heart attack and I visited him in hospice a few weekis before he died. I miss him and think of him frequently.
Why? So Elon can have another public temper tantrum down the road? Musk is damaged goods. Trump doesn't have to, nor should he put up with it, or expose himself to it.
In addition, he suffered all sorts of attacks on his character and actual threats to his life and that of his children.
That's the problem with being a Trump Fan rather than an American Patriot. American Patriots don't let this sort of silliness affect them.
