Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) reinforced one thing voters have said about Democrats—they’re lousy leaders. No one sees the Democratic Party as having a sea of good leadership. They have no leaders, so they’re sinking faster than the Lusitania. They have no message other than ‘orange man…bad.’ That was also made explicitly clear.
package, which Schumer said will kill everyone. It makes the Trump tax cuts permanent, reforms social programs, and provides funds to enforce existing immigration laws. That’s the core of the bill, but we’re all going to die. No one believes it.
It has reached a bit of a rough patch now that Elon Musk has come out against it, ginning up the troublesome Republicans who were against this bill over spending cuts. Musk has erroneously called it a spending bill; it’s not, which is why his DOGE cuts can’t be codified.

Don’t forget a 21% tax on university endowments. That alone makes it worth it to me.
I get objections about the deficit but this is policy-wise the best Republican bill in decades.

Another possibility is to require Medicaid recipients over 18 years of age to sign over their future lawsuit rights and other party insurance settlements to the federal government unless they timely pay a monthly premium equal to the Medicare Part B premium.
Schumer will LOSE his seat in the Senate to AOC.
Then he will be sorry...AOC will probably have him jailed.
Medical costs have to be cut big time.
Hospitals should be split into two to make hospital care price competitive.
EMTALA should only be available by handing over a functional cellphone, SNAP card balance or paying $200.
Adult Medicaid might have premiums starting at $2/month and rising by $2/month and by $2 for each ER use. The Adult Medicaid monthly base premium amount might be capped at the Medicare premium amount.
Have another Raw Hamburger ,Chuck
Correct on medical costs are too high. Ditto, tuition. When government pays, people pad.
“why his DOGE cuts can’t be codified”
Bill A: first year tax cut continuation + DOGE cuts
Bill B: Big, Beautiful Bill without first year tax cut continuation
“Ditto, tuition”
Student loan reform is needed too, perhaps:
1. no new money Parent Plus loans,
2. $5,000 first college year limit,
3. other yearly limits based on course of study, and
4. college co-signing.
Chuck proves once again that the perpetually outraged party is still... outraged
I saw former MO Senator Cow Claire on a podcast this am. Her answer for Republicans and Trump winning is: the algorithms. So much disinformation floating around. 🙄
"Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) reinforced one thing voters have said about Democrats—they’re lousy leaders."
While MAGA RINOs keep reciting politically correct platitudes to get themselves reelected, elite Democratic “leadership” is all about retaining control of unconstitutional, 16th Amendment-facilitated direct taxes, that amendment also weakening our 4th Amendment protections imo.
The 16th Amendment is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for organized crime and desperately needs to be repealed along with the 17th Amendment, popular voting for federal senators.
We'll call the repeal amendment Trump's Boston Tea Party II Amendment.
"16th Amendment: The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived [emphasis added], without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration."
"4th Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
The congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had clarified the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as follows.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
Illegals are indeed getting immediate Social Security, contrary to Democrat claims (7.11.24)
Democrats [and RINOs] Are Terrified Of An Educated And Informed Public (3.12.23)
Thanks for those links.
I especially want the American people to learn that illegals are getting Social Security benefits. That was a fact denied by the sniveling leftist news media.
