Gingrich warns 'very profound cultural civil war' underway, says Democrats doubling down on 'weird values'
Fox News ^ | 6/4/25 | Taylor Penley

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich warned Tuesday of a "very profound underlying cultural civil war underway," touching on the great divide between the right and left, as the two sides of the political aisle seem to separate even further.

"The American people are increasingly on the side of Donald Trump because they believe he stands up against the very values that are at the heart of the Obama-Biden system," he said on Fox News' "Hannity."

"That system was racist," he continued. "It spent money like crazy. It believed in weird values, and I think the American people said no."

Gingrich lambasted the rhetoric of former Vice President Kamala Harris and her 2024 running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, for being "shallow" and not having "a clue" about America while similarly broadening his scope to call out Democrats' reluctance to go back to the drawing board for course correction after last year's loss.

Since that defeat, he says, the party has doubled down on extremism

The democrats achilles heel is their embrace of crazy social issues, which they are hell bent to keep.

IMHO, the Democrats operate way more like a cult than a political party.

A political party can't convince its followers to kill 60 million of their own babies in my lifetime. Only a cult can do that.

A political party can't keep convincing its followers that the earth will end in 10 years. Only a cult can do that.

A political party can't convince its followers that blizzards are caused by global warming. Only a cult can do that.

A political party can't convince its followers to believe in so much contradictory doublethink. Like that all men are rapists, and women should be forced to share locker rooms and restrooms with men. Or that American whites are horribly racist and oppressive, and more illegals should be allowed in to have a better life. Only a cult can do that.

Don’t pay much heed from what you hear from Newt or you hear on Faux News.

It will give you a false sense of security.

What Gingrich should be saying is that down ballot Republicans have BIG problems.

Trump WON ninety per cent of the counties and the Republican wing of the uniparty could only turn that into a barely working majority.

I was privy to campaign advertising in three House races.

NONE of the Republican wing of the uniparty candidates were taking on the Democrats in what Gingrich called this civil war.

All the while Trump was making big time political hay running the ad where Komrade Kammy embraces everything trans or as Newt termed weird.

In other words Trump’s FIGHTING and CONFRONTATIONAL spirit was not reflected by the namby pamby House candidates who were to timid and risk averse to ride Trump’s major coattails in an electoral landslide and a never thought possible popular vote win.

Said "great divide" is fundamentally to diminish the prescriptions for an enduring nation as specified in the Hebrew Torah, particularly on sexual grounds.

State (and county) GOP parties, especially in the Northeast, are pathetic and incompetent and comprised of rinos who do it to keep their state or local patronage job. They could care less about winning elections or fielding great conservative candidates.

What’s weird about opening the door to anyone, embracing all types of human beings be they perverts or bestiality followers.

They’ll happily embrace legalized child molestation, marrying their livestock or abolishing the mention of God at any time.

They’re happy warriors.

"The democrats achilles heel is their embrace of crazy social issues, which they are hell bent to keep."

Exactly right. The Democrat Party would rather completely disappear than give up their wide open borders, murderers, rapists, child traffickers, fentanyl, Hamas, psychopaths, out of control judiciary, men beating up women in sport, men showing genitals in women's locker rooms, ridiculous sanctuary cities, no law & order, zero respect for the Rule of Law, hating men, hating white people, unlimited abortion.

There is NOTHING they can run on. They NEVER take positions or defend on all those social ills I listed. Not once that I can remember. All they have is "No Kings" and "Trump is Hitler." The American people are FINALLY waking up to how crazy they really are and the need for a counter-revolution.

The Democrat bench is zero, too. A bunch of geriatrics and insane young communists. The Republican bench is excellent. Now, if only this was not true...

The RAT party is like that goth child that remains sequestered in his room. But his insanity is progressive and by the time the parents admit they have a problem, his picture is on America's Most Wanted.

That's what happened to us. We slept while democrats went stark raving mad.

“IMHO, the Democrats operate way more like a cult than a political party.”

I agree. Since the dems have gone to such extremes, I believe they have decided to embrace and create chaos as one of their primary weapons. Creating chaos in many different areas provides them with a certain amount of camouflage or cover for much of their nefarious activities. Focusing the public’s attention on areas removed from what they are really doing has worked pretty well for them up to this point, i.e. stolen elections, misappropriation of funds, etc.

You raised valid points about the reasons for this.

Here's another: dems seem to routinely predetermine whose turn it is to be the nominee in district and statewide races. Repubs don't. Instead, they primary each other, and eviscerate each other in the process. That allows the unscathed dem to waltz into the general flush with cash, while the repub primary "winner" is almost out of money and crippled politically from the process. Meanwhile, a good portion of the repub base is pissed because their candidate not only lost, but was insulted.

What will be interesting is to see what happens culturally after parents abandon university “education” for their children.

Conflict create the opportunity to wield power in the courts to settle the dispute. Brainwash the legal profession in universities and it's done. Hence, our real battle is over the trustees appointed politically and accreditation boards which operate TOTALLY undemocratically. The goals are first, to control who becomes dean of faculty, and second, who gets tenure.

Calling this a cultural civil war is a much more accurate turn of phrase than what usually gets thrown around.

I’ll be using this.
