The Liaison Committee on Medical Education, which accredits medical schools, will no longer consider Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs during evaluations.

Another medical education accreditor announced earlier this month that it would suspend diversity requirements.

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education—which accredits medical schools around the country—has announced that it will no longer consider Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs during its evaluations.

On May 19, the committee, which is sponsored by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) decided to eliminate DEI considerations as part of its criteria for assessing medical schools’ performances,

...

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education is not the first to cut back emphasis on DEI in recent times.

Earlier this month, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) paused enforcement of DEI policies in response to an executive order from President Trump targeting such mandates.

Good for President Trump!

DEI should be eliminated everywhere - but particularly in life-or-death professions such as medical, airline pilots and air traffic controllers.

Now all we need is for the republicans to step up the way they did when civil rights laws were passed...

I’m not confident, given the quality of this current bunch of rinos...

DEI programs SHOULD be considered; any school with such programs should be denied accredation.

Hallelujah! Now, employers and potential clients need to single out those MDs educated during the Biden years for extra scrutiny—or remedial instruction in U.S. anti-discrimination LAW, which applies to all races, not just the one that is envied and despised by marxists—northeastern European-Americans.

I would never trust a recently educated medical professional who is a minority.

That's a bit extreme. But it's well worth checking the background of everyone whom you trust with your body. The internet can be useful.

It is a shame that it is necessary to take the attitude but letting DEI infect med schools is the result.

“employers and potential clients need to single out those MDs educated during the Biden years for extra scrutiny”

The abomination known as DEI is connected to the Burden years. But it has been a problem for decades — the exact same anti-white discrimination — but under different handles. Affirmative Action.

For this reason I have made a point to steer clear of minority physicians. You COULD luck out and end up with a Ben Carson. But probably not.
