Trump Has It Backwards...IMHO

Posted on 05/30/2025 8:49:11 AM PDT by TheOldSchool

I am not a lawyer however it seems Trump is doing things in reverse. Every time Trump issues an Executive Order, an activist judge rules it illegal. Why can't he do some "judge shopping" and get a ruling from a judge saying the EO is legal, then issue his/her ruling, and bingo, he is in line with the judicial system and then execute his EO.

That’s not how the legal system works. The “thing” happens first, then someone can sue over it.

They are opposing everything Trump wants to do, but that’s not their role. John Roberts is a major problem for fostering this, and I’d like to see Trump suspend habeus corpus for the 10s of millions of illegals to get them out of the country fast.

You can’t shop a judge before you issue the EO.

Correct. A damaged party brings a lawsuit and a judge rules on the lawsuit.

Make no mistake here, the GOP brought suits to try to stop Democrats, too. Remember all the lawsuits that tried to stop Obamacare?

Because you can not have a judge rule something legal before you do it.

Ignore the courts like Biden did. Problem solved.

I think this is on to something. Trump should issue an EO opposite of what he really wants.
