Congress Failed to Enact Any of the Nearly $1T DOGE Cuts

During a press conference today, Governor DeSantis addressed the failure of Congress to enact one DOGE suggested cut. Elon Musk and his DOGE team found over 900 billion dollars in cuts. Congress has not followed up on even one.

Protect Your Retirement... BUT Beware of Gold IRA Dealer Lies

This is the key section of Governor De Santis’s comments which also spoke to successes in Florida:

“Trillion dollar deficit is a tax on you. It works its way through the economy. There’s no free lunch, and that’s what ends up happening. And it’s a little frustrating.

“You know, Elon Musk went into this DOGE effort. He was getting lampooned, I mean, like they’re fire bombing his Tesla dealerships, media smearing him relentlessly.

His businesses suffered.

All this stuff because he basically said, Look, we can’t keep doing this, and we need to moderate and reduce the amount of money that the federal government is spending.

And yet we have a Republican Congress, and to this day, we’re in the the end of May, past Memorial Day, and not one cent in DOGE cuts have been implemented by the Congress. That’s one of the reasons why we need a Balanced Budget Amendment to the US Constitution. It’s another reason why we need term limits for members of Congress.”

Augusta Precious Metals has the lowest Gold IRA fees in the industry.

If nothing else, Congress is very disrespectful of the American people and the wonderful people of DOGE who sacrificed to find these cuts. We are nearly $37T in debt and these swampsters will not do their job. Democrats are a total loss, but it looks like Republicans might be as well.

DOGE also found illegal aliens voting and Congress did nothing about that either. They don’t care at all.

Can we deport Congress to Sudan?

If someone came into your house every day and took money from you, would you let them keep doing it?

Yep, Congress turned the US Gov into a ponzi scheme. An elaborate scheme enabling themselves to extract personal benefits from the corrupt system.

When they enacted term limits on the president there should have been term limits imposed on congress.

USAID and other NGO’s were just free ATM machines for Congress Critters (Repukes and Rats alike) to use in their mutual quests to become millionaires.

That’s why DOGE failed.

Traitors. I have been saying two things for a few years, now: One, my tagline. Two, we are DONE. We need to be preparing to take back the radioactive wasteland.

Yep. That was Fascist Delano Roosevelt's "New Deal". Congress deserves a big share of the blame for it.

We have some truly stupid people out there - and here on FR.

Reconciliation bills cannot be used for discretionary spending, which is where the DOGE cuts are.

If only Trump could dismiss them all via executive order.

Uniparty gonna uniparty

Deep state gonna deep state

They are showing us there’s only a few solutions because they refuse to be responsible with our taxes.

Granted, you are correct. Does that mean Congress could not have passed specific bills along the lines DOGE recommended? I know they'd have a rough time in the Senate, but we need to make obvious where that problem resides as we approach the midterms.

Burn it down.

Figuratively, of course.

Bring back the gallows.

Metaphorically, of course.

This mess is beyond reformation. The courts are corrupt. The legislature is corrupt. The Executive, other than POTUS Trump, is corrupt. The media is a corrupted pile of lying bullSh*t.

DOGE seems to me like a last change to save America from bankruptcy. If congress fails to act and just keeping kicking the bucket farther and farther, the day will come, when there will be no choice.
The bucket will be empty and NOBODY gets ANYTHING.
All those debates about giving or taking away from somebody will be useless.
There will be no money for Medicare, Medicaid, SS, defense or welfare.
Crisis worse than 1929!
When I talked to some Argentinians, how it came that they are bankrupt now, they answered that the government just kept spending and kicking the bucket down the line. Just like they are doing here now!

They’re saying the DOGE cuts were in another category and could not be in the Big Beautiful Bill.

Okay. Write the DOGE bill now.

I am convinced Congress knows the score and enriching themselves before the music stops playing and many will be without a chair once the music does stop...Trump knew it at the end of his 1st term...said he hoped it didn’t happen on his watch...rate things are going it might.

What are the odds that a “regular order” budget bill gets done under PDJT 2? We did not get one in President Trump’s 1st term, and from what I am reading we have not had a “regular order” (not “reconciliation”) bill passed in the last 25 years.

https://govfacts.org/explainer/understanding-budget-reconciliation-and-regular-order-in-the-u-s-congress/

https://www.brookings.edu/articles/restoring-regular-order-in-congressional-appropriations/

https://epicforamerica.org/federal-budget/epic-infographic-the-broken-budget-process/

So regular order budgeting/codifying the DOGE cuts is a very unlikely possibility?

So the BBB [Big Beautiful Bill] can’t address DOGE recommendations and the crooked judicial system won’t allow DOGE cuts and there are no Republicans down there who can or will cut back the stupid spending we are wallowing in. They are looking at a mid-term wipe-out unless they get their heads out and do something except say “We can’t...”
