Russia bends to Trump after 'crazy' Putin comments in latest sign peace is on the horizon

The developments come after a whirlwind weekend of diplomacy from Trump where he told reporters on Saturday that he was 'absolutely' considering imposing new sanctions on Russia.

The next day, Trump launched into a blistering attack on Putin where he said the Russian leader has gone 'absolutely crazy.'

Trump condemned the Russians for escalating their strikes on Ukraine while negotiations were ongoing, which he said was resulting in the 'needless killing of a lot of people.'

In a chilling warning about the future of the former Soviet nation if the bloodshed continues, Trump said Putin's war 'will lead to the downfall of Russia.'

'I've always had a very good relationship with Vladimir Putin of Russia, but something has happened to him,'

Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump have agreed to a prisoner swap days after the US president branded his Russian counterpart 'crazy.'

The prisoner swap was revealed Tuesday by Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov,

Lavrov said the prisoner swap was agreed amid negotiations over the end of the war in Ukraine, which he sensationally accused European nations of attempting to 'sabotage.'

As Lavrov announced the prisoner swap, sources told the Kyiv Post that Trump was 'seriously considering' lifting all restrictions on how Ukraine uses weapons on Russia.

The US State Department did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for details on which prisoners are set to be exchanged.

Tuesday's breakthrough comes four days after Trump separately revealed that a 'major prisoners swap' had taken place between Russia and Ukraine, believed to involve up to 1,000 prisoners on each side.

Trump posted on his Truth Social platform at the time that the massive exchange 'could lead to something big', but did not offer details on what he wanted for brokering the deal.

How long before Bad Vlad stabs Trump in the back again? Zelensky tried to warn Trump and JD Vance that Putin always breaks cease fires and treaties. That Vlad cannot be trusted on anything. Instead JD started in with Zelensky at the White House. That Z was guilty of insufficient praise, insufficient kiss ass.

I’m keeping cool President Trump changing the subject after his Putin post earlier today with a lot of stuff on social media.

I don’t think he wants to push things with Putin.

He has a lot to juggle.

The prison swap was ancient news, and the latest news is that Ukraine was rounding up and arresting political dissidents and trying to swap them as “prisoners” because they are short their quota. That’s why Russia then gave the names of the 1000 they wanted. I’ve no idea if they are all confirmed to be alive; if not it would explain Ukraine’s scrambling to come up with enough warm bodies to get their own POW’s back.

What a joke western media has become. This article is a pointless, without any real new information, though a pitiful attempt to color and bend the narrative to the west’s illusions. What’s hilarious is their strained attempt to use the “Soviet” reference as if that has anything to do with modern Russia. Almost as funny as referencing America as a functioning free republic. Hahahaha

Trump’s thinnly veiled threats are having a chilling effect upon his long term efforts.

The Russians head Trump loud and clear. Trump has opened his mouth and essentially telegraphed what some of the plans presented him as options for Russia, and Trump says it ain’t good for Russia.

Trump has further exposed himself as a continuation of American policy that started with Clinton, then Buch, Obama, Trump, Biden and now again Trump... The US is just continuing the policy against Russia. Trump was never walking away. The presidency owns him and the deep state controls him; he must have sold his soul to be president this time around. No way in hell those who hate Trump would have ever let him back in office if they did not control him.

Epstine Files are moot. There will be not surprise revelations or prosecutions.

Russia has figured Trump out and while it never hurts to to let your enemy talk with you, Trump has nothing to offer Russia and it has all been a ruse to save western investment and continue the war with Russia.

I don’t think Trump and the west have gained anything of value negotiating with Russia, expect maybe to stall their summer offensive by a few weeks. If that was all Trump got for his efforts, Ukraine is going to suffer in a hell of their choosing. Zelinski is Trump’s puppet.

Just waiting for Trump to reverse Mertz on the Missile issue that more than Trump’s mouth will derail any further diplomacy with the Russians. Mertz was trying to overload Trump’s ability to deal with Russia. Trump just blew it. He told the Russians he has seen what the west is planning to do to Russia, and Russia would be a fool to think otherwise.

For the poster of this thread, saying that Zelinski told Trump Putin would break agreements... that’s rich. Trump was trying to impose conditions that would give the west and NATO an advantage on the battlefield but it didn’t work; if Zelinksi wants peace he can repeal and revoke the law that is part of the Uke Constitution preventing negotiations with Russia/Putin. Zelinski is illegimate as president per some western banks and financial institutions who have passed on Ukraine since he’s become a dictator.

America got the war they wanted, and LOST! Horribly over estimated their political and economic ability, while at the same time under estimated the Russian will to fight and win. Unlike American, Russia has not been hollowed out of industrial productivity and can out produce America in military hardware. Here American sits with their expensive high tech MIC toys but can’t scale production to the level needed without gutting capital from parts of the economy captured by corrupt greedy companies sucking at the tit. Deploying American troops is a non starter because Americans don’t give a rats ass about Ukraine. And best of all, the young (fighting age males) are going Galt in general after been called “toxic” and patriarchal their whole lives. Every flag waving conservative (read neocon) can suit up themselves and go fight. No one else want to fight this deep state war!

There is no treaty or ceasefire for Putin to break. And it also seems that Trump missed every off-ramp that Putin has offered. It is now his war and he will own a defeat.

Trump is not addressing the fact that Zelensky tried to assasinate Putin by attacking his helicopter. I can't imagine what the United States would do if the Ukraine tried to kill President Trump.

NATO is desperately trying to start WWIII before peace sets in, and attacking Putin's helicopter was the latest gambit.

Trump has tried to stop Putin because Trump knows the Deep State wants Putin to respond to the attempted assasination with escalation so that NATO can claim they 'need' to fire on Moscow or some other WWIII tactic.

Putin started to take the bait and Trump said he was 'playing with fire' as NATO nation (Germany?) said it would remove all restrictions on Ukrainian weapon use. That's what NATO wants - unrestricted war on Russia.

I don’t blame JD one bit. Zelensky had it coming. Especially after he interfered in our elections last year. He campaigned for Harris, insulted our Presidential and VP candidates, and then went to PA to campaign for the Democrats in a hotly contested swing state and Senate election. Helping Harris was a hostile act towards the American people.

Zelensky had zero affect on US election politics by appearing with hapless Kamala and some stooge in PA. I was 100% unaware of these photo ops.
