Millions of New Yorkers will start receiving their so-called “inflation refund checks” in the fall, Gov. Kathy Hochul said Wednesday.
Roughly 8.2 million households are slated to qualify for the relief payments as part of the state’s $254 billion budget plan.
The direct payments of up to $400 will start going out to 8.2 million eligible tax filers starting in October and will continue through November.
“Starting in October, over 8 million New Yorkers will get an inflation refund because it’s simple — this is your money and we’re putting it back in your pockets,” Hochul said in a statement.

I wonder if they will be federally taxable.
It’s utter and complete madness.
Money can often buy votes. And Gov. Hochul is up for re-election next year.
Just sayin’.
Vote buying writ large.
Meanwhile, Floridians are always getting “Inflation Refunds” as there’s NO INCOME TAX there. How does the state run?
Is there an election in November? See how that works?
No tax on tips and no tax on overtime will top this inflation scam.
Doesn't that sound familiar? Only time you ever hear a Dem talking like a Republican is when they're about to stick the stabber in.

"Maybe I'll go to the movies......by myself!"
Florida population: 23.4 million. State budget $116.5 billion.
NYS population: 19.9 million. State budget $254 billion.
This month, the FL legislature formed a committee to explore doing away with homestead property taxes. The committee will report this September.
Love my free state of Florida!

Note three things...
1) Looks like the amounts have gone up.
2) Paper checks are being sent rather than using direct deposit.
3) The checks will be sent using USPS.
Oh wow
