Buffalo SVU Detective 'AngryCops' Drops Startling New Evidence of School Sexual Abuse Coverups

The allegations against the Buffalo Public Schools had a certain degree of credibility from the moment the Unsubscribe Podcast video airing them went live on YouTube. That credibility came from Buffalo Police Department SVU Detective Richard Hy, who is known on social media as AngryCops.

Having followed him for quite a while, I saw these allegations and took them seriously. Far too few did, though none in the podcast's or Hy's communities. I wrote about it. I talked to Hy about it. What I saw was someone who wanted to see change.

Unfortunately, both the schools and the media seem more interested in trying to go after Hy than actually doing some digging.

The thing is, the main hosts of the podcast in question are all very successful YouTubers who have also built or bought into a number of businesses and are...well...let's just say focused.

Like, John Wick would be impressed with the autistic level of focus these guys can devote to a topic.

And they did, starting a crowdsourcing campaign to launch their own investigation, believing they could find solid proof of this happening in short order.

Word to the wise: Never anger four high-profile folks with significant social media savvy and rabid fan bases.

On Sunday, a special episode of the Unsubscribe Podcast dropped, featuring Hy once again, along with a significant amount of discussion about what all they've found.

There was a lot of ground covered in the hour-long video, including a long history of troubles with the Buffalo Public Schools, which includes some pretty shady stuff up to and including a bit discovered at the end of the video regarding allegations of an assistant principal who gets moved around every year due to allegations of sexual impropriety and sexual assault.

Yeah, when I called the Buffalo Public Schools evil in the first video, I had no idea how bad it could get.

But the crux of this video was a case that Hy was familiar with, because he'd investigated it initially. A young girl was reportedly raped. Hy was called in and dug into things and found that no, a sexual assault hadn't happened, that it was a misunderstanding, and the case was then closed.

However, the email he received appeared to be from a school counselor who said they had a written statement from a friend of the alleged victim. This was apparently the first mention of these allegations to anyone else, which Hy says is a significant thing in an investigation. However, the counselor says they were prevented from speaking with Hy and giving him this evidence.

Now, the schools didn't know this wasn't a sexual assault. They had no clue that it was nothing of the sort. They had every reason to believe that one of their students had been raped.

Yet they hid this information just the same.

Then again, based on what was in the statement, I can imagine they wouldn't be thrilled if Hy were made aware.

It seems the friend told a teacher, who then directed the friend to someone in the school's office. That individual first asked if there was proof of this. The friend said there was a video. She said she'd deal with it in the morning.

Coming the morning, though, there didn't seem to be any action. The student then told another teacher, who said, "Give me five minutes," and finally got the ball rolling.

Again, they didn't know that this wasn't a rape. They still sat on important information, probably to shield those who failed to report this to the police--a crime as everyone who works with kids is a mandatory reporter--and then seemingly committed obstruction of justice in the process.

Freaking brilliant.

Then there was a different allegation that about set me off.

A preschool teacher or teacher's aide--Hy was unsure what the person's exact role was--apparently felt that the way to discipline children was to put them in the bathroom with the lights off and their foot against the door so the student couldn't get out.

Sensory deprivation is fine if you do it as a matter of personal choice. Doing this to a four-year-old kid, though, is absolutely insane.

The kicker? This person still works with children in the same school. They're wandering around, supposedly educating Buffalo's children, while being a vile piece of abusive filth.

Podcast co-host Brandon Herrera asked, "Do you have any idea how hard it is to violate the Eighth Amendment rights of a kindergartener?" and it's a fair question. After all, that's precisely what happened, as this is cruel and unusual punishment we'd never see be allowed to be used on our worst offenders, much less small children who just learned how to use a toilet a short time before.

Hy noted that people who wanted their voices heard should reach out to the school board there in Buffalo, as well as the mayor's office.

However, there's something even more important, and that's what needs to happen going forward. He notes that there are issues with the Buffalo Police Department digging into this as they're too close to the matter. An outside party, such as the DA's office, the New York Attorney General's Office, or either the US attorney general or the FBI, needs to start looking. They can take a look, conduct interviews, and deal with what they find.

He's not overly optimistic that anything will come out of the school board's third-party investigation, nor should he be.

I tried watching the video when it broke hours ago. 5 mins in I quit. For me, they damage their credibility with all the joking and laughing. If it’s as serious as they say it is they should report it in a serious manner. In my opinion, their banter isn’t conducive to building credibility.

Gallows humor is a requirement for police to stay sane.

You never made it to the serious part. The first part was just addressing how the media had portrayed them, and what it took to get the media to even address the content rather than just trying to judge those books by their covers.

The thing about autists is that they don’t think like everybody else. They are often unfiltered, which means you’re going to get bantering but you’re also going to get gut-level truthfulness that you won’t get anywhere else. If that makes them non-credible, then I guess you’re welcome to listen to the oh-so-earnest reporters who act the right way as they tell you bullshit.

What you missed was these guys telling parents what they can do to find out if reports they made to the Buffalo Public School District ever got reported to the police as required, and if it was reported whether it was reported as what actually happened or if it was buried under a “Miscellaneous” heading like 54% of the reports are, or if it was reported as “Information Only” so that the cops would never investigate.

You missed them asking people to contact the US Attorney’s office or Pam Bondi because the BPSD is already failing to respond to subpoenas from the DA’s office. They asked for people to report lawyers who are failing to respond to subpoenas to the Bar Association for discipline.

They are telling prosecutors that if they do the right thing the autist group will help them get re-elected so they can keep doing the right thing

You missed all the good stuff because you couldn’t look past the personalities of the messengers. If you aren’t autistic or don’t know anybody who is, learn to cut them some slack. It is obvious that these guys’ hearts are in the right place and they are credible to a lot of people whose hearts are also in the right place.

One of the things they talked about is that there is trust between all these people because they are free to be real with each other. In an age where political correctness has gotten us very “correct” but also very corrupt everything, that genuineness is worth more than gold. And that is why they don’t go to the news media acting all serious and give them a 30-second sound bite that the editors then butcher while nobody watches them anyway because they’re boring liars.

No. That's not what's going on in their videos. It's a serious subject and if they want to be taken seriously they should report it in a serious manner not like giggling adolescent boys. Stop making excuses for their clownish behavior.

I note how the school board, da, and the media all tried to smear Richard Hy first.
Like the man wouldn’t have the receipts?

They keep the topic with a light tone also people listen. People tend to tune out if the tone is too dreary.

We have knows for decades that sexual abuse of students in public schools far outpaces that of the Catholic Church.

But the media does not report this truth because it does not align with the “religion bad” party line stemming from the Democratic Politburo.

Wow, you are shallow. If there’s laughter it’s a way of dealing with horrific issues and not curling up into a ball and sucking your thumb. Watch the original video. Detective Hy cried when he recalled some of the stuff he was investigating.

Tranny story hour is out in the open. Teaching gender fluidity is out in the open. Teaching sex perversion is out in the open.

That’s how common stuff in the hush hush is....it spills over everywhere. And our public porn addiction is ok with that.

They're laughing while talking about the rape of a young girl but I'm the shallow one.

This isn't the original video. As I said, I gave them 5 minutes to calm down and get serious and they couldn't. In those 5 minutes no one was crying.

If you want to be taken seriously on serious a topic act seriously.

The subject they were “giggling” about was the media’s treatment of them, which is worthy of mockery. In fact, mockery is about the only thing that gets any results with this kind of “reporter”. Outrage - like what we waste time on here - certainly doesn’t make any difference, even though the issue is serious as a heart attack. These guys were speaking language that the media actually cares about - mockery of them on a platform that actually has viewers.

The guy heading the conversation stated - probably shortly after you stopped listening - that it was sad that they even had to address the smears by the media instead of just coming out with the substance they’ve all been working on. But because the media made the story all about the “rocky history” of the whistleblower, they had to clear up the story about the slanderous innuendo about him so that people would know those were a hit job without substance and do not in any way tarnish his credibility.

You didn’t listen long enough to get to where they were intensely serious, about what is happening to the kids. INTENSELY SERIOUS.

Also, I never heard them laughing while talking about the rape of a young girl. When did you hear that?

The young girl who was allegedly raped wasn’t raped. Most likely consensual sex but she didn’t know that he was having it videotaped - and then he passed it around so within the week half the 7th grade class knew all about it. It was investigated, no crime was found, and both kids were referred to counseling to deal with the fallout. At the time the school was very cooperative.

What the cop just found out is that someone at that school ordered another person at the school to NOT SHARE WITH POLICE the fact that a close friend of the girl went to 3 different school personnel with the existence of video of what she said was rape, before anybody reported anything to the police.

And that is the issue these guys are researching and pushing on: the failure of BPSD and other school districts around the country that are hiding information from the police so that parents think they’ve done the right thing and the police just aren’t taking it seriously. In reality it is the SCHOOLS that aren’t taking it seriously, and the kids stuck in those schools suffer the consequences. What they’re working on is getting the PROOF that the schools are sweeping stuff under the rug, so that the people doing it can be prosecuted.

Serious as a heart attack and these guys are INTENSE about it.

It’s a shame that you were more interested in critiquing their delivery than actually hearing them out.
