Canada is a proud nation that will “never” submit to foreign domination — but if it is to be ruled by a landed septuagenarian from afar, its citizens would prefer King Charles to Donald Trump, hands down.
In fact, Canadians would rather return to the to the British Empire than adopt Trump’s repeated insistence that it become the 51st U.S. state, even with his promises of lower taxes and better security, according to a new poll.
The poll, conducted for DailyMail.com by J&L Partners, reveals that a 54 percent majority of Canadians would prefer King Charles III as their head of state, compared to just 15 percent who favor Trump. …

Jeeze loueze.
Ya tell a girl at an eigth grade party you can satisfy her beyond her wildest comprehension (whatever that means neither of you know) and she just can’t stop talking it about it months later.
It was just for an eye roll people! Just a flash demonstration of confidence.
And we could always use the oil.

Why would the U.S. take on a territory in which the voters are basically like Minnesota?

I sure don’t want to see an increase in democrat electoral votes from a place that voted for Justin Trudeau.

How about a poll asking Canadians if the would like ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, and RI in exchange for British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Alberta?
To: Peter ODonnell; Olog-hai
Peter ODonnell:
"I really regret that this rather ugly strain of politics has surfaced and I realize it is partly Canada’s fault for taking certain things for granted over the past several decades, but a lot of these problems would be better handled by diplomacy and some frank talk in private, the public nature of this is making a lot of people both angry and nervous, and not just in Canada.
I support other parts of Trump’s agenda but frankly this part is b.s. and needs to be put out of its misery sooner rather than later." You obviously don't yet understand Pres. Trump.
Trump is negotiating for better terms, not just with Canada's government, but also with Canadians.
Trump wants two most important concessions from Canadians:
- Reciprocal trade, meaning you buy as much of our stuff as you sell us your stuff.
That's what the higher tariffs are all about. - Double your defense spending to at least 3% of GDP.
That's part of what all the talk of a "51st state" is about -- seriously, get your heads out of your rear ends and start fielding a serious military force, for NATO, for the EU and for potential problems in the Indo-Pacific, if not to defend your own border!
Canadians have enjoyed a free ride economically and militarily, at the US expense, for too long.
Those days are over.
Understand and accept the new reality.

I, fkor one, do not want a Canadian leftist mob to be the 51st state of the United States. The country is made up of French dissidents and old Torys who were expelled/escaped from the U.S. at the time of our revolution when we put aside the chains of a corrupt monarchy. We have enough left wing rats eating at the fabric of our nation without the canuks.

It’s a ridiculous poll, but I bet the 54% are almost entirely comprised of Trudeau voters from metropolitan areas.
