Israel isn’t trying to “eliminate every aspect of islam on earth”. They are eradicating the terrorists in Gaza and Lebanon that threaten their security every day. We can—and should—help them, but we are not using US troops to do so and we never have nor will. Everyone knows this.

The Army lowered their goal numbers in order to meet them. They've been lowering the target since 2014 because they know they can't hit them and, at the 18 year mark since the Depression starting in 2007, they have fewer American candidates to pull from.
