Hillary Clinton must be on the board.

Look at how much graft she took from Haiti. Now this.

All in all, the above 10 organizations raised $12.6 million for Kids Wish Network but retained $10.8 million, netting Kids Wish Network $1.8 million, which equates to $14 out of every $100 raised going to the organization and $86 out of every $100 retained by the fundraiser. From Kids Wish Network’s perspective, they didn’t have to do any work but were able to obtain $1.8 million after paying fundraiser’s fees. These fees paid for the compensation of Kids Wish Network employees ($900,000), office overhead, travel, and other costs ($600,000), and the $200,000 in cash granted as wish to sick kids.

Numbers like these are why I virtually would never give to charities (if I had any money)

It’s 4% of your money that goes to the needy and the rest to the fundraising organization

Like the Clinton Foundation

If you want to get rich, hook up with a “Non-Profit” those guys make more profit than just about any For-Profit corporation. (It’s all about the taxes.)

This has to be illegal. If it isn’t it should be. You should be forced to have no more than 10% overhead as a “charity”. Period.

Knock off fake versions of charities trying to get confusion donations. Kids Wish Network is hoping you think they’re Make-a-Wish. They’ve been known to be basically a scam since 2013. Same kind of thing with Cancer Fund of America, who very much are NOT the American Cancer Fund. Nothing really shocking about it. This kind of “hope they confuse us for something better” knock off naming has been in every industry. It’s extra gross for these “charities”, but sadly not new at all.

If this is true, Cancer Fund of America needs to close and return the money. If Rogan is wrong, he’s going to have to settle a lawsuit for huge $$$.

Kids Wish Network

Charity Navigator gives it a 47% score, with a zero-star rating, and explains why the low score/rating at the link.

Charity Navigator did not have the Cancer Fund of America in their database.

Wouldn’t surprise me to learn that United Way, American Red Cross and other such organizations have similar numbers.

Just like most of these organizations. Scams tugging on people’s heart strings.

This is why any solicitation I get, mail, phone, whatever...I always ask them for an audited financial statement of last years balance sheet and income statement. Not ONE charity/group has EVER sent me what I requested. Indeed, it seems to be an effective way to get off the list.

If true, this is criminal.

I seem to recall that by law, 5% of the funds raised by charitable non profits must be used for the intended purpose of the non profit.

Not a high bar, but these don't even meet that standard.

The reality is that a large number of non profits and charities are borderline legalized fraud machines that are used to support the lavish lifestyles of the officers. Lots of expensive "fundraising" parties and executive lunches paid for by donations right off the top..
