Let’s clear something up right away—tariffs aren’t just about economics. They’re not some wonky tax on imported widgets that only policy nerds care about. They’re a statement. They are an attempt to change bad behavior. A line in the sand. Tariffs are about protecting a nation’s backbone—its ability to stand on its own two feet.
In a world that’s grown dangerously dependent on global supply chains, the idea of sovereignty is starting to hit home. National security begins with self-reliance. Think about it: how secure are we, really, if we’re relying on adversaries for essentials like steel, aluminum, pharmaceuticals—even ships that might be needed in wartime? That’s not just risky. It’s irrational.
People from every political stripe are waking up to the reality: we’re living through the collapse of the liberal globalist order. And as that crumbling system falls apart, what we’re actually witnessing is something remarkable—the Trump-led rise of a new American Golden Age.
Because here’s the truth: when America is strong, the world stands tall. When America is weak, the world falters. We saw it play out in real-time under Biden. His administration projected weakness, and that weakness invited chaos. Bad actors took the stage, and global stability unraveled.
Now, as globalization fades into the past, a new era is taking shape—an era of mercantilism. But this isn’t just about trade. It’s a bold, philosophical shift. Donald Trump understands what the Democratic Party refuses to see: the only way to escape the grip of globalist tyranny is through national strength, economic independence, and the great decoupling from failed international systems.
So, what is mercantilism? It’s not just an economic term—it’s a mindset. It dates back to the 17th century, post-Christendom when rising nation-states saw trade as a weapon of national power.

Globalization sucked the life out of traditional America. I never thought I’d see it end!
First time a factory line closes down because a $60 part will take 6 months to get here... we're going to discover how dependent and stupid we've been putting our trust in potential enemies. And water plants? Might be a good time to get a few extra parts...
Trump sees the wake up call coming and he's giving us time to make the adjustments before they're catastrophic.
note how the FakeMSM is barely mentioning that the tariffs signal the end of globalization....hopefully, at least.

Our smartest people at our top corrupt consulting firms designed this world.
Good article about cheap foreign goods..Ironically when I clicked the link, I got hammered with Temu ads.
But to be fair, it’s important to note that much of this is a function of exponentially more complex products that have become the norm today, not a breakdown in supply chains due to “globalization.”
love your tagline. even Soros is downsizing.
The Gravy Train has pulled into the station. Everybody off!
America is not paying your way anymore.

Did you know, at the same time GM was packing some of the properties around Flint, Mi that used to be GM auto plants with trucks and SUV’s for exactly the same reason.
I did not know that. I probably didn’t pay as much attention to those stories because I’m not much of a GM guy!
vividly remember working on my old falcon with a 289 special while sidelined on the highway. engine just quit for no apparent reason but being a diy guy tools where in the trunk. took 30 or so minutes of sheer frustration to track down the problem. the rotor point tab had actually broken off inside of the distributor cap, a new one on me. fished it out with needlenosed pliers, thought about for awhile then figured out that the pull tab from my soda can jammed under the pointer where it used to join the rotor might just work. and oh yeah...started right up. drove it every day like that for two weeks until I could afford a new dual point high performance distributor. try THAT with a new car!
Did Trump actually say he was ushering in a *golden age* or is this more leftist propaganda?
Globalism is Socialism. Under Socialism the powerful get rich, under Capitalism the rich get powerful. I’d rather our leaders were successful people instead of sycophants.
He did indeed say that.
That’s unfortunate, I suppose.
The left will continue to use it against him when things don’t go as they think they should.
Why is that unfortunate? It’s the truth.
I know he intends on doing it. It’s whether he can accomplish it or not. But it may have been better to wait until it happened and the point it out.
If anyone can, he can.
Well, it’s not a major thing. I’m not going to lose sleep over it.
