...statues of treasonous Confederate generals like Robert E. Lee and Albert Pike will soon be returning. Their statues were removed nationwide after the Black Lives Matter protests in 2020.

If I remember right, all of the Confederates, except Jefferson Davis, were forgiven and pardoned. They can’t be trators. The author needs to learn something about history.
Most of these people who want to snuff out the history of this country are historically illiterate, and don’t realize that many of the people whose statues, monuments, paintings etc., that they want to eliminate, fought for this country in other wars, or were famous for other things long before they ever supported the Confederacy.
He is bringing back all the statues
Why are they mad that Trump is bringing back statues of Democrats?
lol whan i first saw title I thought it said statutes...
Most of these people who want to snuff out the history of this country are muslim jihadis and struggle session communists.
its what they do anywhere they get a foot hold
Lee is a great American hero because he surrendered honorably and then worked to put America back together. His example led to peace instead of guerilla war.
So as the preparations for return of the Lee statues are made, with workers pulling on ropes to get them onto trucks....
The whistles are blowing, the smokestacks are showing
The ropes they are throwing, excuse me I’m going
To the place where all is harmonious
Even the preacher, he is the dancing teacher!
Go take your best gal, real pal
Go down to the levy, I said to the levy,
And join that shuffling throng
Hear that music and song!
It’s simply great, mate, waiting on the levy
Waiting for the Robert E. Lee!
—Waiting For The Robert E. Lee by Al Jolson.
If their contemporaries declined to charge them with treason I suggest the New Republic should just shut up.
Albert Pike had a school that’s walking distance from my house.
He’s not really known for his involvement with the Confederacy; he did command troops in New Mexico as I recall.
He’s best known as a Freemason who supposedly predicted three world wars. The first destroy Russia, the second to destroy Germany and the third to get Zionists and Muslims to fight to exhaustion.
Personally I think it’s not his prediction and someone wrote it later after Pike died.
Now melt down the George Floyd and blm ones...
“After Antietam, Confederate soldiers were forgiven and allowed to keep their weapons, and horse if they had one.”
Big mistake, that is why we have Democrats screwing up our lives today.
More Americans died fighting each other in this war than in any foreign war we were in.
And 100-150 later the liberals think they know better than the people who experienced the war and were able to achieve reconciliation.
The South’s gonna do it again
Robert E. Lee owned the land that is now Arlington National Cemetery. The land was confiscated by the US government.
The dilemma of the far left: “Do I spray paint that Tesla or do I save it for the statue of Lee?”
If I remember right, all of the Confederates, except Jefferson Davis, were forgiven and pardoned. They can’t be trators. The author needs to learn something about history.
*****************
Davis ended up just fine, he didn’t have very much money after the Civil War, but he wrote his memoirs and was given big funeral after his death.
The Unionists were going to “hang Jeff Davis” as the prosecution of the war against the Southern Rebellion took place.
After being captured he was held in Fort Monroe for two years, and was eventually released on bail, paid for by people like Cornelius Vanderbilt & Horace Greeley.
“War rhetoric is just that......rhetoric.”
Lee is a great American hero because he surrendered honorably….

Agreed….mostly. The fact Lee surrendered usurping the power of President Jeff Davis rubbed some wrong. Davis had no idea Lee and his Army had surrendered and felt he was a traitor.
