Some European countries, as well as Canada, are warning their citizens who travel to the United States to strictly follow the country's entry rules or risk detention as the Trump administration cracks down on immigration enforcement.
Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland and Canada have revised their guidelines at a time when some travelers from these countries have been detained by immigration officials.
Here is what to know about the advisories.
Why are these countries issuing warnings?
The heightened advisories come after citizens from European countries have been detained and deported by immigration officials while traveling to the United States. Some of the warnings also note that the State Department has also suspended its policy allowing transgender, intersex and nonbinary people to update the sex field on their passports — eliminating the X marker as an option.

Yes. The US is a terrible place to visit - stay out.

NPR says that as if it’s a bad thing. Uh, no. It’s a good thing.
A very good thing.
Many years ago I went to Israel. I asked someone how did they know if there was a bad actor. The answer was simply, “we profile.”
We’re so bad that we might even make you go back home.
Seems normal.
Sheesh. Get a valid travel visa. Go home before your visa expires. What could be simpler than that?
Don’t expect the USA to honor your sexual and dysfunctional fetishes on your passport.
And don’t go to cities where Judge Boasberg’s TdA friends operate.
They are actually talking about their foreigners who travel
Yeah. Imagine having to follow a country’s entry laws. These idiots don’t travel much. Try pulling crap in Japan or the Philippines. You’ll end up in jail.
I had a bread route along I 10.. I picked up hitchhikers every day..some going West and some going East. One Dutch guy I picked up was traumatized.. He came to visit the USA and ended up in the NO GO ZONE of New York and suffered an attempted rape. He poured out his heart how deceived he was of life in the USA. He flew from New York to New Orleans and much the same thing happened. The USA is NOT a safe place for many people.
NPR -What will it take to get their funding cut off?
If US is such terrible place why millions try to come illegally here?
I’ve been to kanada and europe and don’t ever need to go back. Simple.
It would be helpful if NPR advised foreign visitors to stay away from Baltimore, NYC, San Francisco, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, and any other Dem controlled city in an occupied blue state.
I’ve been to Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Canada, and lots of other places. Most of them were nice places to visit, but nothing beats living in the USA. Even in today’s political climate.
“ The country also warns Danes they risk being denied entry or expelled from the U.S. if they provide false reasons for visiting, overstay their visit or have a criminal conviction in the country.”
One recent sob story was about a German hiker denied entry. Turned out she was coming on a tourist visa, but made money from live blogging about her hikes. Boo-hoo.
Another had to do with a guy with a tourist visa, but was going to some Pali support meeting. Boo-hoo.
Just stay home
