Former Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) had a heated exchange with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other Democratic party members who she said switched their stance on support for the filibuster in the upper chamber.
“Change of heart on the filibuster, I see,” Sinema wrote in a post with a screenshot of a post from Ocasio-Cortez shaming the Arizona lawmaker for not supporting ending the filibuster in order to pass Roe v. Wade protections.
Sinema’s comments come as Democrats urged their counterparts to use a filibuster to prevent the House-GOP led government spending bill from advancing. It requires the Senate to obtain 60 votes to approve legislation, but some Democrats have argued the measure, which is often used to delay votes, be abolished in the past.

Ms Sinema misses the action and the high drama of being in Congress. Can’t say that I blame her. Being a senator or congressman would be an absolute thrill for certain kinds of personalities. I would have loved such a career myself, had luck and opportunity been in swing. I would expect her to make some attempts to get reelected at some level of influence.
I’d love to see Sinema and Sandy Puerto Rican get into a knock down, drag out cat fight. AOC needs her ask kicked.
change of heart? oh PULEEESE! pocketliners have no hearts, only wallets needing filling. cutting of the money faucet is the ONLY way to stop this B.S. but too many voters believe these United States of America NEEDS the income tax ruse to “afford to pay America’s bills” simply because our CONgresscritters TELL us we do. as long as they control the money YOU ARE SUBJECTS! how ignorant are Americans when they can’t feel the probe through the Vaseline and agree to bend over even more.
Irony and precedent mean nothing to the left. They are ruled by the emotions of the day.

In Jello. The fight has to be in Jello.
Change of heart? Happens only if you were not a 70 IQ bartender. So for Occasional Cortex, NO.
Those are EXACTLY the kinds of people who shouldn't be let anywhere near elected office. It's not supposed to be a career, and it's definitely not supposed to be a 'prize' job for people to inflate their ego. Pretty much anyone could serve as a congressperson or senator and do a credible job.
Who says a gal can’t change her mind?
"I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks".
Anything more one needs to know about people who can't be trusted?
That works for me!
“The fight has to be in Jello.”
Or, chocolate pudding
In a pit of strawberry goo.
Sinema’s desperate attempt to become relevant again, duly accommodated by The Hill. Mission accomplished.
Old English parliamentary tradition.
I would vote for Krystin to immediately replace the fake astronaut, Mark Kelly OR fake “cartel” governor we have Kaydee Hobbs... in a heartbeat.
the lezzie queers attacked Krystin in the restrooms at AZ State University because she was NOT whacked out commie-liberal enough for their tastes... she was in serious fear for her life. I believe that and the drug cartel threats... were what drove her out of the Senate.
the mad rush of California liberals and gang families into AZ is what has turned Arizona from a purple state, to being an almost deep blue state. Mostly in Maricopa County which encompasses Phoenix and Scottsdale.
Lord help and deliver us from evil!
sinema left the democrats to be an independent... and then dropped out when the lefties cut her financial backing... and sent her the nasty lgbtq armies after her in public places with threats and assaults.
Why would you say that?
House and senate members going at it on something as devicive as this CR bill under Trump.
It’s extremely easy to believe it’s real.
Unless you know something I don’t :)
House members had an easy vote...they didn’t have the numbers to stop anything...so pointing fingers is easy for house dems.
some who are less insane, like fetterman, are telling them to go to hell.
I didn’t say he was sane...just less insane :)
A good lesson on the filibuster.
The majority always wants it gone. If they become the minority, they will worship it.
Make no mistake here — the GOP worshipped it, and should have. Laws should not be easy to make. You could make a case for the 60 vote bar not being high enough.
Were it not for Sinema and Manchin, we would have all sorts of Roe v Wade laws on the books, to go with gun control and all the many items Schumer did not even allow to reach the floor because it was pointless given the 60 vote reqmt.
Oh, and note also Collins and Murkowski both voted yes on the CR.
