The Egyptian plan for rebuilding Gaza includes provisions for current residents to remain in Gaza rather than migrate elsewhere. Keeping the population in place sustains the conditions that allowed Hamas to take power in the first place.

Don’t be fooled. Not for a second do they believe that THEY will pay for the reconstruction. They believe that THEY will receive massive quantities of OTHER-PEOPLE’S-MONEY (aka American and European taxpayers’ money).

well, to be fair, the Arab states of Egypt and Saudi Arabia hate Hamas and the Muslim brotherhood. So they won’t build up anything that would help Iran or Hamas
