Slotkin: Trump Tariffs ‘Reckless,’ ‘Chaotic’
Breitbart ^ | 03/09/2025 | Pam Key

Posted on 03/09/2025 8:39:51 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that she did not oppose tariffs.

However, she said President Donald Trump’s tariffs were “reckless and “chaotic.”

Slotkin said, “I think most of us aren’t against tariffs full-stop. I think tariffs are an important tool in the tool kit. I think it’s just the way he’s handling tariffs is the way he’s handling everything else right now. We want change, but there’s reckless change, and then there’s responsible change. The way that he’s on again, off again, you know, pounding Canada as if they’re the exact same thing as China, it just creates this chaotic feeling.”

Show us what goes on in Congress with equal transparency, they tell us about recklessness and chaos.

Friggin’ rookie munchkin already thinks she’s an expert on everything. She’s just another far-left bimbo, jughead who can’t get or don’t want a real job. She should have taken up the ukelele and learned how to yodel like most young girls her age did during the Dempanic pandemic. She could be making the big bucks without having to steal it from the taxpayers like her comrades.

I agree there needs to be an explanation for the on-off. Maybe there is and it isn’t getting through.

The threat potential actually works. Honda recently announced it was going to open a plant in Indiana, primarily because there would be no tariffs.....

I’ll wait and see. It had a net negative effect against China his first term.

What these idiots fail to understand odds that President Trump’s unpredictability is his strength.

Congress has to be united with him - something he didn’t have in the first term with Paul Ryan being the Speaker.

This wretched woman should not even be a Senator. She was way behind until the usual 3 a.m. ballot dump in Detroit. It was one of the four stolen Senate races.

The only president with the balls to take on the issue of the way this country has been ripped off by its “allies” and enemies alike and this bimbo — who sat on her fat, lazy ass throughout Trump’s speech — has the unmitigated gall to complain.

The juggling and administration of tariffs is just part of President Trump’s high-stakes negotiations. Never let the competition (or opposition) have a moment’s rest, and keep them guessing.

Interesting that when Trump announced it in his speech to Congress, not one dem thought it worthy of applause.

The Democrats used to be the party of the American working class. Now, they're defending the trade deals that gutted our working class.

What's more, they're outraged about the Veterans that are losing their jobs as a result of the DOGE cuts, but where were they when millions of Veterans were put out of work from the trade deals they're now defending?

I hate it when somebody who knows nothing about tariffs is all of a sudden an expert on them. It's even worse when they are stupid enough to say:

The fentanyl coming over the Canadian border last year totaled 43 pounds, total.

Given that 2mg is fatal to humans, enough fentanyl came in from Canada to kill 9.75 million people, but this idiot sloughs it off like it nothing. Find a real expert who understands and appreciates the problem rather than some bimbo who knows nothing.

I think the issue is he changes his mind every three seconds. Pick a date and stick to it. The market would like some stability.
