The ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is perilously close to collapsing as both Israel and Hamas have both balked at entering negotiations over terms of an intended second phase of the deal. Meanwhile, food shortages in the territory have become acute and Palestinians living there are again struggling to feed their families.
Mustafa Abu Shaaban, a blacksmith before the war, and his wife Rasha, try to create a semblance of normality for their kids.
"Our life is hard – we just want to live like everyone else," Rasha told CBS News.
But as the aid freeze starts to bite in the holy month of Ramadan, the pair have no idea they will feed their four children.
"All our roads are just ruins," Mustafa says as he walks to the market. "Wherever I turn, it is just ruins."
Prices have soared and severe shortages of milk, eggs, meat and cooking gas have been reported in Gaza.
"We ask the world to help us to stop the war," Mustafa said. "We have had enough suffering."

Whose Fault is that again? Yep- that’s right- Hamas’ fault! Kick them out, return the hostages- ALL of them, and palestinians will be treated fairly- refuse? Then fend for yourselves!
The ceasefire might not be in peril if gazans had not:
Started a war
Raped and murdered women, children and the elderly (a War Crime)
Taken hostages (a War Crime)
Raped and murdered hostages
Failed to adhere to any rules of war, especially use of human shields (a War Crime)
Returning wrong corpses
Parading and celebrating having taken hostages (a War Crime)
And on and on….
They don’t want any sort of peace. They only want to murder Jews. I propose killing them first.
If a guy holds a loaded gun against your head for a century, promises and regularly does pull the trigger to murder you and your family, what rights does he have?
The right for you or me to kill him first.
There are lengthy current youtube videos of fat Gazans browsing well-stocked street vendors, and showing aid trucks being hijacked in Gaza.

Hamas embedded with the Palestinians reminds me so much of the Viet Cong comingling with the Vietnamese population during the Vietnam war.

The Gazan Arabs democratically elected Hamas to genocide the Jews kinda like the way the German people elected some artist to do the same.
Elect a different group of guys who are true peaceniks and we’ll think about it. Most likely will not happen since 99% of the Gazans support Hamas.

it’s what happens when you allow your govt to be Hamas.
They misused aid money for decades with their building the tunnels and stock up for all their assaults on Israel including Oct 7, when Hamas and some of your fellow Gazans murdered many. Hamas still blocked aid shipments getting to many in Gaza since oct 7.
Stop siding with Hamas and maybe you’d have a chance at decent life.
Remind me again who started this. Remind me again who has consistently broken cease fires. Oh, so we’re suppose to feel sorry for the guys flying drones got splatted? Who hasn’t returned the hostages or their bodies? They haven’t so much as cleaned debris off the road to their house so their kids won’t fall and hurt themselves. Right now, FNC is showing Russians clearing off debris from their homes. That’s a major cultural difference.
The parents allow their kids, who act worse than animals (sorry animals), to crawl over over each other snatching and grabbing food only to spill it on the ground. Hmm, not as hungry as they claim. Get in line and wait your turn so nothing is wasted on the ground. Our pets were never told to sit patiently until I get their breakfast ready, but they taught themselves how to line up quietly. They are fed on a large platter and they calmly go to their side and in order to their self assigned spots without a fuss. If one has been away for days and comes in hungry, there is no growling or snatching. But not those children so it is no wonder they grow up filled with hate and act like savages.
Not a single Palestinian hid a Jew from Hamas nor helped them flee. Zero sympathy here.
Didn’t Hamas steal all the humanitarian aid we sent? Maybe you can buy some food from them
When they kidnapped Israelis, kept them in the dark tunnels, refused to feed them but instead, ate in front of them, they were building karma for themselves.
And yet, they have no mercy for those they tried to harm. They raise their babies to hate, but they demand mercy?
Give them mercy, but let them earn it by serving the Israelis, and giving a public apology, and returning all whom they mkeep hidden.
