Emmanuel Macron suggested in an interview with "Le Figaro" that France could potentially deploy its nuclear weapons in allied countries. French warheads would replace the American presence in these regions.

Macron emphasized his openness to deepening cooperation with European partners in the field of nuclear deterrence.

Those who wish to deepen dialogue with us can, if necessary, participate in deterrent exercises. These exchanges will contribute to the development of a genuine strategic culture among Europeans, said the President of France.

Good. Russian nukes can be aimed at Europe instead of at the US then.

The only good result I see from this is the Muslim migration into Europe will be reversed after Russia takes over France and Germany.

He shouldn’t even be in office. He lost the last election but the stupid coalition government kept him in. This nuke idea is insane. We need to get our iron dome up now.

All of the EU is trying to get the US into the kinetic war in Ukraine, so they take their cut of the Ukraine aid from the US.

Zelensky claims he does know where half of the US aid money went - it went to the EU because they are broke, Zelensky just laundered it.

Since Russia’s army is no longer a threat to Europe, and Russia’s main threat is nuclear, increased nuclear deterrence and tactical nukes in Europe makes sense. The irony is that Ukraine was invaded because it gave up its nukes, and now Europe must increase the nuclear deterrence against Russia. No nuclear nation will ever again unilaterally disarm unless vanquished in battle. Curiously, France is now reasserting itself on the European continent to an extent not seen since before WWII. So, France is stepping up to replace the U.S.

**********
Don’t make me laugh. Ukraine was NEVER a nuclear power, the nukes in Ukraine belonged to the Soviet Union and were aimed at the United States of America. The nukes in Ukraine were removed because once the Soviet Union collapsed, the nukes in Ukraine could not be and would not be adequately maintained and were in fact a danger to Ukraine.

Russia already has western and central european cities on its target.

And it has enough missiles to also target the USA - which is does and will continue to target

He didn’t lose the last election.

The last French Presidential elections were in 2022 - on 10 and 24 April 2022. As no candidate won a majority in the first round, a runoff was held, in which Emmanuel Macron defeated Marine Le Pen and was re-elected as President of France. In the first round Macron finished first with 28% of the vote, followed by Le Pen with 23%, Jean-Luc Mélenchon of La France Insoumise with 22% and Éric Zemmour of Reconquête with 7%. Valérie Pécresse of the Republicans received 5% of the vote and Anne Hidalgo, mayor of Paris and Socialist Party candidate, 2%.

In the second round, Macron beat Le Pen with 59% of the vote to her 41%, a narrower margin than in the 2017 election. Turnout was 72%, the lowest in a presidential election run-off since 1969.

Perhaps you are mistaking the Presidential elections with the parliamentary elections - THOSE took place on 12th and 19th June - following the 2022 French presidential election, which was held in April 2022.

In THAT, Macron’s party was still the largest but lost 10% of its vote (that was take up by the ultra-left who gained 19% and by Le Pen who gained 8%)

well, quite frankly, it would be good to have French nuclear weapons stationed in the Baltics and Poland.

American nukes aren’t needed in Germany any more - it will also save a lot of $ to withdraw American bases from Germany
