A CAR has rammed into a crowd at "high speed" in the German city of Mannheim and reportedly killed two people and hurt 25.
Horrified eyewitnesses claim a black vehicle sped from the tourist hotspot Paradplatz towards the city's water tower before ploughing into a crowd of people, according to reports.
Cops have confirmed that a driver drove into a group of people in Paradeplatz - a pedestrianised street in the city.
Two people have been killed and 25 injured, with 15 fighting for their lives in hospital, according to Bild.
Witnesses described heartbreaking scenes of children's shoes scattered on the floor among the debris caused by the carnage.
Mannheim police have so far only confirmed one death and several other people being injured as they can't yet specify how many or how badly.
