President Trump extended sanctions against Russia. Virtually missing from MSM as it does not fit the "Trump loves Putin" narrative. EO at link.

Of course, one does not remove the stick until the carrot is taken.

Yea, he did it Thursday. But a google search only turns up Yahoo and some obscure European news sites.

There is no stick and no carrot. The Russian-US trade is like $3.5 billion per annum, and the stuff trader is mostly critical to the US.

I keep reading that Tony Shaffer claims Z made a deal with the UK about minerals. So i asked Grok3 which is new search vehicle. Here is what i got":

Below from Grok3

Tony Shaffer, a former intelligence officer and commentator, has claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a deal with the UK prior to U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, 2025, allegedly involving mineral rights or broader strategic agreements.

This claim has circulated on platforms like X and in interviews, such as one with Newsmax, where Shaffer suggested Zelensky might have outmaneuvered the U.S. to secure a deal with the UK while still seeking American financial support.

There is no definitive, publicly verifiable evidence from official sources confirming that Zelensky signed a specific mineral rights deal with the UK on or around January 15, 2025, as some posts on X have suggested. However, there are related developments that might provide context for Shaffer's assertion.

On January 16, 2025, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited Kyiv and signed a "100-year partnership agreement" with Ukraine, focused on support across sectors like healthcare, military technology, and security guarantees, as reported by Al Jazeera.

This agreement, while significant, does not explicitly mention mineral rights in the available public details. Later, on March 1, 2025, Zelensky visited London and signed a £2.26 billion loan agreement with the UK, repayable using profits from frozen Russian assets, intended for military supplies, according to the BBC. Again, this deal does not explicitly reference mineral rights.

Shaffer's claim could be an interpretation or extrapolation of these known agreements, possibly conflating them with speculation about Ukraine's mineral wealth, which has been a topic in U.S.-Ukraine discussions. For instance, Zelensky has been negotiating a minerals deal with the U.S., which remained unsigned after a contentious White House meeting with Trump on February 28, 2025, as reported by multiple outlets like the BBC and The Independent.

Ukraine's vast reserves of critical materials, such as graphite, titanium, and lithium, are well-documented, and Zelensky has leveraged these in talks with Western partners. Shaffer might be suggesting that Zelensky secured a similar arrangement with the UK first, though no official UK-Ukraine agreement specifically tied to mineral rights has been confirmed in the public domain as of March 3, 2025.

The lack of concrete documentation—such as a leaked contract or official statement—means Shaffer's claim remains unverified and speculative at this point. Posts on X citing Shaffer reflect current sentiment among some commentators skeptical of Zelensky’s intentions, but they do not constitute conclusive evidence.

It's possible(likely) Shaffer has access to non-public information from his intelligence background, but without substantiation, the claim cannot be confirmed as true. Meanwhile, Ukraine's documented agreements with the UK in January and March 2025 show a deepening partnership, which could be the basis for his assertion, even if the specifics (like mineral rights) are unclear or misinterpreted.

In short, while Zelensky has made deals with the UK, there's no solid proof that a mineral rights agreement was signed as Shaffer claims. The assertion is plausible given Ukraine's strategic moves and resource wealth, but it lacks corroboration from reliable, open sources as of now. Always approach such claims critically, especially when they originate from commentators rather than primary evidence. ......................

Anything Shaffer says I will take to the bank immediately.

The narrative is being lost.

Trump Admin has to double down and be way more aggressive with media and getting its messaging out. The narrative slips every moment.

Karoline Leavitt cannot shoulder this burden alone. There needs to be armies of Karolines dispatched everywhere. Including foreign spokesmen in international media.
