Trump Administration directs ALL Federal Agencies to prepare for massive downsizing by March 13th.
I want to be sick of winning by next year.
Sure hope the issue of unconstitutionality of most of these federal agencies and acts come to the forefront sooner than later.
That has not been my experience in DoD...except maybe in competitive promotions during Biden’s tenure.
That was after he added “diversity and inclusion as a key strategic priority” to our annual contribution plans.
As I am sure someone in 1968 said, "Fumigate this place it smells like cloves and patchouli!
DOD is a special case but it is not immune from the rot
It moves the average to the right but other agencies are way over 100% when contractors are taken into account.
The Obama administration figured out how to game the system by hiring contractors to circumvent hiring standards and fill the zone with partisan operatives
I have noticed this improvement in some of the EOs.
It seems someone has their diction in order!
A federal judge will stop this in its tracks within a week.
Changes to the operating system, however small, can impact bigly. I don’t think that any of these changes are cosmetic, either.
I was thinking along the lines of having Elon Musk develop Kaiju-class stealth bombers.
If you ever worked in the corporate sector on budget cuts for your organizations you would learn a few simple lessons.
Every cut is critical.
More is better.
Celebrate each one.
Never second guess yourself.
We are just getting started—employee cuts is just one piece.
Normally RIFs fire the workers with the least service.
Since Trump 1.0 hired very few federal employees the RIF will hit these folks hard:
—Hired by Biden
—Hired by Obama
Oh the humanity!
Lol.
Well my DIL doesn’t fit in with any of those categories you mentioned. She works for the VA helping vets get all the insurance benefits they have earned. She is one of the good who stands to lose her job alongside the worthless. Life isn’t fair. No one owes her a job. But everything she and my son have in this life they have earned.
Be joyful we are saving the country. But please show some empathy for the good workers who stand to lose their jobs right along side the worthless. If my DIL is let go, the kids could very well lose their home. My husband and I won’t let that happen though. We will supplement their costs till other employment is found. And yes, it sucks. And yes, we are Trump supporters! Still Trump supporters. Will remain Trump supporters.
I am so glad to have lived in a time to witness this kind of leadership. He’s only just getting started.
The irony would be that these folks take jobs building the wall or helping with drilling for oil.
i bet with effort they can cut over One Beellion Dollars from the federal expenditures.
On the other hand there is reduction from tax payments for the unemployed, payment of unemployment income, and with all those IRS employees let go, a lot less followup on people who may have been gaming the system and would have been caught and forced to pay what was owed.
A lot of happy under informed people here possibly facing some unpleasant surprises in the next few years.
Unemployment Insurance is a state administrated program. The IRS would have nothing to do with catching UI fraud unless the fraudster did not report it as income
The Trump Administration has not put forth a budget. Congress is still trying to create a budget. I am not sure why you think Trump is “asking for the same money”. Trump doesn’t create the budget, Congress does. And Congress wants to be re-elected and US Voters, previously, have voted for endless handouts.
This isn’t going to be a “snap you finger and everything is fixed” Voters are going to have to start firing Congresscritters and Senators in record numbers if they want things to fundamentally change
In 2019 the US Government had !.8 million employees. Now it comes in at over 3 million. There is a LOT of bloat in the US Movement work force that needs to be cut due to the bad polices the Biden regime put in place
I think your stats are wrong. Good chart here: https://usafacts.org/articles/how-many-people-work-for-the-federal-government/
