A massive 2,200 male-only migrant shelter has opened in the Bronx despite residents venting their opposition to the move and as the city announces the closures of other migrant shelters throughout New York City, including the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan.
The new facility, a 275,000-square-foot former warehouse, began accepting migrants on Saturday, a spokesperson for the mayor's office told Fox News Digital.
The opening of the facility, located at 825 E. 141st St., and the prospect of such a large influx of migrant men being housed in the community sparked furious scenes at a Bronx community board meeting last month where residents also said that they were never consulted on the decision.
"I have young women who come to me to study. I have never been afraid in the South Bronx, I am now terrified," Judy Kudlow, an artist who said she operates an art school directly across from the building said. "I'm terrified for me, for my students. I will have to move… You have made a terrible mistake."

It’s considerate of the Bronx to gather all the illegals in one place. It will make Homan’s operations much more efficient.
Let it get filled up and then send a few hundred folks from ICE.
How nice of them to concentrate the problem for us.
They will suppress the rise in sexual assault cases.
Only possible good thing is they’re all in one place; surround the place with real ICE, then secure the building in the evening, and start processing deportations in the morning. Then I woke up....

It was the worst area of NY City. I believe its still pretty rough
Its ironic that the residents are afraid migrants will bring even MORE crime.
I panicked!!
I thought maybe they snuck one in one of the nicer neighborhoods of the South Shore.
When I didn’t hear a few hundred thousand screaming Italians outside, I should have known it was in another borough :)
But we’re not immune....the wealthier parts of the South Shore have been so far...upper middle income.
But the hotels are/were being used outside of our areas.
Not that close but I wont let my wife drive 3 or 4 miles away from the good neighborhoods anymore.
I know several hundred thousand people isn’t a “small town” in most places, but in NYC it is...and we take care of our own.
Some drunk hit my parked car out front at like 3am a few yaers ago..I didn’t hear a thing.
A neighbor knocked to let me know and there were already about 5 neighbors outside making sure no one left the scene.
So for now, it’s still worth living here.
But I know hochul the ghoul is trying to change that.

So where the %#$& is ICE. Since NY is leading the reeesistance ICE ought to just roll up and deport all 2000 of them.
