Calls from progressive lawmakers and activist groups to expand the Supreme Court have fallen noticeably silent since President Donald Trump won the election in November and returned to the Oval Office last month.
During President Joe Biden’s tenure, progressive organizations such as Demand Justice and Alliance for Justice were vocal advocates for adding seats to the high court, which has a 6-3 Republican-appointed majority cemented with the help of Trump’s three nominees from his first term. Progressives’ concerns focused on what they viewed as an entrenched conservative majority’s influence on issues such as abortion, voting rights, and environmental regulations. Lawmakers including Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) and Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) supported legislative efforts to expand the high court.

The CONSTITUTION needs to be changed regarding expanding the courts. Perhaps something like 1 judge added every 4 years, at least at the Supreme Court level.
The Dems have threatened to pack the court for DECADES - they are SERIOUS about it, and don’t care about any blowback as they know their USAID-funded media will have their backs, and they came DAMN CLOSE to doing it after the 2020 election.
Once the Dems do pack the courts, IT IS OVER for MAGA, Conservatives, and the country.
Democrats often act like spoiled children. If they are losing, they want to change the rules to benefit them. They never think that the other side may actually win and use those same rules against them.
Trump should troll them by saying that he has listened to the democrats and he is thinking about expanding the SCOTUS.
I’d like to see major judicial reform. Possibly with a Constitutional Amendment. I do not think our court system works.

I still think that now would be a great time to settle the matter, with a bill sent to President Trump, so that the Democrats who were clamoring for it a year ago can let us know where they really stand.
Until an R sweep occurs and then Rs pack even more new scotus judges.
It is circular reasoning to think one can outpacee the other over time.
I don’t remember them coming damn close to doing it at all last time.

As I see it, 3 major problems:
1. The possibility of packing
2. A judge in Hawaii making rulings affecting the entire country.
3. Unbalanced juries in DC cases
All can be fixed, but it will take an Amendment. And, keep in mind, that these problems only started AFTER Universal Voting.

This is probably not a good time to do it with a lot of balls in the air but definitely this term on a slow news day, if there ever is one again.

They were stopped by 2 DEMOCRATS, Manchin and Sinema, as they otherwise had the votes in 2021 (thanks to 500,000 Trump voters sitting out the Georgia Senate runoffs, to ‘teach the GOP a lesson’). And it wasn’t a threat, it was a PROMISE to pack the courts, from Schumer - along with ending the filibuster. We were DAMN LUCKY.
And the talk of packing the courts dates back to Harry Reid, by the way. The Democrats, now, have no interest in ‘norms’ or ‘democracy’, only POWER...and until our side understands that, they will be a huge threat to this country.
Trump should bring it up just to troll the hypocrites.

There’s a lot going on right now, but it would be at minimum a nice, sweet distractor issue for them to stew over. Give them a good dose of their own poison.

If Trump tried to ‘expand the Court’, progressives would call in their butt boys from the Washington Post to scream and stomp their feet, hold their breaths until they turned blue. Liberal ‘elites’ have one and only one principle - to do what’s best for liberal elites.

Trump should start talking about this JUST to divert attention away from his real AGENDA. He should propose 15. Liberal heads would explode like in SCANNERS!
