The cartels follow the old Mafia saying, “Take the silver or take the lead.” In other words, accept the bribe or be killed.
There is one big difference between our Mafia and the cartels. The Mafia left families alone. The cartels will murder the families of their targets.
Given their ruthlessness, the cartels will strike back in some manner. We had better be ready for that. And I suppose we will.
