Newly resurfaced footage from 2021 reveals controversial statements by U.S. District Judge John McConnell, who recently blocked President Donald Trump’s spending freeze.

Ho to the Fifth Circuit and Barbara Lagoa to the Eleventh Circuit.
During his tenure, McConnell established a Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Justice Committee within his court to address issues of racial disparity. “We have formed the committee to look at race in our courts,” McConnell said, adding that his court had taken steps to hire more probation officers of color to reflect greater diversity.

This judge was appointed through Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a limousine liberal who himself and his family belonged for decades to the all-white Bailey’s Beach Club, a yacht club in Rhode Island. No people of color there except perhaps in the kitchen. Perhaps the judge should start with his benefactor and back off taking cases in which he orders Trump to restore funding for the Department of Education, when the judge’s own daughter works there as a Biden appointee.
