The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is freezing funding for several programs despite a federal judge telling President Donald J. Trump’s administration not to. On Monday, Stacey Street, the director of FEMA’s Office of Grant Administration, issued a directive halting funding for multiple grant programs.
The directive calls for freezing all open awards from fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The action allegedly violates a court order by U.S. District Judge John J. McConnell, who claims that federal grants are being blocked contrary to his earlier restraint.

Excellent
He has ZERO business making any ruling that is outside of his area.
Allegedly
By the way, how many divisions does he have?
bttt
He looks....well...like he could suck the eyes right out of a chicken....or an odongo.
Apparently, they’re iginoring this silly-looking, queer bsstid.....hope so.
This sets up the writ of Mandamus to the Supreme Court. The judge will move to reinforce his “ruling” and this is the case the admin brings for emergency relief from the activist/political judiciary.
Thank You, Director Street!
I would suggest the judge should issue a directive funding those multiple grant programs from his own offices budget temporarily, until he sets this wayward executive branch straight.
That’s a good one.
Good for her. Give Stacey a raise!
Well Trump already rescinded the order he made. FEMA has made their own decision at this point to freeze funds. So he has no jurisdiction over this action.
Does the judicial have the power over the Executive during a National Emergency?
Trump should Declare a National Financial Emergency after his last 3 nominations are all confirmed.
Firing four people will make the fifth one more cautious. A guy I worked with years ago had served in Viet Nam. He said once that if they wanted information they would take two enemy combatants up in a helicopter and when they got up a ways, they would start asking questions. When they didn’t get answers they would toss one of them out, and the other one would start talking right away. He said it and laughed for a second but felt bad about that because it was pretty brutal and he didn’t really feel all that good about it. I just have to add that part out of respect for a serviceman.
