WASHINGTON, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Former U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard's nomination to become director of national intelligence received a major boost on Monday when Senator Susan Collins said she would back President Donald Trump's nominee.
"I look forward to working with Ms. Gabbard to strengthen our national security," Collins, a moderate who is one of the few Republicans who has voted against Trump initiatives, said in a statement supporting Gabbard.

She is vitally important. From what Trump says, he is being told outrageous lies about the Russian military and the Uke battlefield by his “intelligence” sources. Gabbard won’t lie to him. Next to Musk, she is our most critical asset.

Collins has been on board for about 36 hrs so this is not new. As she did with Kavanaugh, she will provide cover for other Senators (perhaps Dem females).
Collins is not a RINO btw. She represents her state’s attitudes and why would you want a Senator who does not.
If you do not like her votes, look in the mirror. It is YOUR fault. You didn’t go to Maine and persuade all those voters to change their attitudes for her to represent.
The people to hate on is the Red state GOPe Swamp Filth Senators who vote to pretend the GOP is what it was pre Trump.

I messaged my Senator, Todd Young, that he either gets on board with President Trump’s agenda to make America safe and prosperous, or gets primaried big league next time around. His choice.
I think Collins is in a heavily bombarded bunker which she shares with Murkowski and a number of “moderate” Democrats that have a gut feel that they are losing the war. (Against Trump) because opposing the President at the moment is like opposing most Americans, and are re-appraising their normal, knee-jerk reactions to follow progressive Dems since their own normal backers and donors are feeling weird about supporting T-World mutilation, third world cultural enrichment, violence and competition with Mainers and Alaskans, and Inflation.
The Dead-Enders that have large lunatic clown-constituencies back home mutter “FIGHT, Fight, fight” under their breath but their eyes are clouded with sadness and despair. The Steadfast pair of RINO womyn might be ready to leave the rubble with a white flag, at least for now.
