Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) criticized President Trump’s decision to impose 25 percent tariffs on Mexican and Canadian goods and a 10 percent tariff on Chinese exports.
In an interview on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki,” Klobuchar said Americans are likely to see prices continue to rise with Trump’s tariffs imposed on goods.
“This is just the latest example, as you’ve detailed every day, chaos up, corruption up, and, sadly, prices of eggs up. And we’re going to see more of this if he follows through on this 25 percent tariff on Canada, Mexico, 10 percent on China,” Klobuchar told Psaki.

Blow it out your salad comb, Klobee.
Yeah that “play nice with us now that YOU”RE in power” speech during the inauguration was pure crap.
America never needed “progressives” like Klobuchar
What the American economy really didn’t need was four years of progressive rule under Biden.
Klownbuchar didn’t whine when costs skyrocketed under Biden when the Democrats were spending like a drunken Hunter.
RE: not what Americans need now....
Like ugly, annoying, egotistical Karens acting as harpies.
The harpies in one of the Sinbad movies. I remember another movie where a man was in a bamboo cage with the harpies picking at him.

"Klobuchar says Trump tariffs are ‘not what American economy needs right now’"
I disagree with Sen. Klobuchar about Trump tariffs.
If I understood PDJT47 correctly a short while back, I think that he had the following in mind with respect to tariffs.
Canadian food companies plan to expand production to U.S. as tariffs loom (1.31.25)
Insights welcome.
it could work out very well indeed provided Trump can abolish the federal income tax (or at least vastly simplify it and cut it by over 50%)
Amy could make us a sammich and get us a beer.
After that, she can shut up.
She can’t really be objective, can she ?
Nah her face would cause the deli meats to sour.
Whether or not they cause economic difficulties will have to wait till (1) the other nations’ responses to the U.S. tariffs are put into their policies, and (2) how much the tariffs upset the supply chains the U.S. own domestic manufacturers depend on, and (3) how those two things are worked out in the U.S. economy. The true result, net positive or net negative cannot be immediately known.
LOL
Looks like a DNC Convention!
Ugly shrieking broad with wings!
Winged Dem protestors!
The melt away when the good guys start winning!
Go wash your panty hose, Amy. Let the grownups handle this.
These tariffs are not about economics but curbing bad behavior on the part of our so called neighbors. They are also the opening of a negotiation but with leverage.
Scream, shout and pout but the bottom line is that Canada and Mexico export a ton more goods into the U.S., the largest market than we do to them. They have more to lose.
The other bottom line, this major fear of tariffs assumes that EVERY good imported into the U.S. from Canada or Mexico doesn’t have a corresponding U.S. substitute. As if we couldn’t get syrup from anywhere other than Canada or energy or or or. Cheap imports have kept our own domestic production at a disadvantage. Whereas, try to export our goods to Canada and compete with them. Think NAFTA is keeping their tariffs at zero? Think again.
lol
Perfect.👍
Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) + Gov. Whitmer (D-Mich.) + Gov. Pritzker (D-Illinois) are “not what America needs right now.”
Go pick out more paintings Amy and let the adults talk.
