After 16 months of sheer hell, freed Hamas hostage Daniella Gilboa finally reveals what happened in that shelter on October 7th.
In a heart-wrenching first public message that has reverberated across social media, Daniella Gilboa - who survived the October 7 attack and subsequent captivity - has shared her story of faith, survival, and gratitude. Speaking directly to a nation that held its breath for her return, Gilboa reveals the raw, powerful moments when she chose prayer over despair in a shelter under siege, and describes the profound emotion of finally reciting the traditional survivor's blessing in synagogue.
"Hi loved ones, what a surreal year I've been through and I don't know where to start... I think first of all I want to say thank you ❤️ to everyone who supported my family for a year and three months, who didn't leave, didn't give up or lose hope for a moment. Thank you for waiting for me, thank you for not believing the terrible rumors, thank you for continuing to pray for me throughout this entire period. This was my last request before I was kidnapped. I didn't want to despair and say goodbye, so instead I prayed and believed with all my heart that my end was not there, in that shelter. I prayed for all the girls with me for half an hour because I felt I couldn't do anything better than that at the time. I couldn't hold onto the security that maybe the army would give me and maybe come to protect me, I couldn't hold onto the security that maybe the shelter would give me, because it wasn't just about missiles, I couldn't hold onto the few armed girls at that moment either. I knew the only thing that could save us was faith. Yesterday morning, Karina, Naama, Liri, Agam and I recited Birkat HaGomel blessing in the synagogue. This is the moment I've been waiting for since the day I survived October 7th. To thank God who, against all odds, saved us from the most terrible thing of all.
Much love,
Daniella".
Y’all have to wonder,
if getting ganged raped on a regular basis,
being semi starved, and chained up,
is better than death?
Ditto- Especially if it seems that the Lord is silent during the ordeal- which does happen when the abuse just keeps happening over and over without end seemingly- that would be tough-
Sorry but she is a Jew.
Not a Christian Jew.
“Sorry but she is a Jew.
Not a Christian Jew.”
And what has that got to do with the price of rice in China?

Jews don’t pray to Jesus. Read the comment I responded to!
She doesn’t believe in Jesus. So that means she doesn’t believe in the real God. I don’t know what God she prays to.
The dilemma
The same Almighty GOD. The Creator.
The Jews maintained their Sinai tradition, didn't change after Muhammad’s urging and threatening to anoint him either.
Oh, so we Jews “don’t believe in the real G-d”? There is G-d, recognized by Jews, and then there are other people who later attempted additions to the divinity list. Jews stop the list at G-d, others subscribe to the extended divinity list. So “Roving” is playing ignorant as well as insulting. These are Jewish girls who were held hostage. They’d prayed to the original, one G-d.
It’s the same God ofcAbraham, Isaac and Jacob ..
The one who took out the Jews — (Israelites, called Jews, since book of Esther) — from Egypt.
The one who sets everything in motion.
Forever and ever. Selah.
She doesn’t understand Jesus is God.
97% of Israeli Jews, and 95% of Jews globally, even if they’ve heard of Jesus do not know The Gospel; they have no awareness of Jesus’ teaching, works, or identity.
That in no way voids their prayers to The Father, Whom they have worshiped at varying levels of fidelity for over 3000 years.
Jesus said, “no man comes to The Father except by Me’; he DIDN’T say nobody speaks to The Father except by Me.
FURTHERMORE, God WAS [past tense, done deal] in Christ [on The Cross] reconciling The World to Himself; not counting anyone’s sin against them (2 Cor. 5:19). There are ~8 billion people on this miserable rock, and what St. Paul said is they’re all FORGIVEN. NOT SAVED. They’re not Believers in Jesus; that’s a different thing. But The Atoning sacrifice at Calvary was One For ALL, ONCE for ALL. That’s why the veil to the Holy of Holies was torn wide open: a forgiven people have full and open access right into the very Presence of The Most High.
In the wake of The Cross, because of Jesus’ substitutionary sacrifice, the old tabernacle could consist on The Ark sitting right out in the open!
THIS IS THE VERY EPICENTER OF THE GOSPEL!
IT IS EXCEEDINGLY GOOD NEWS!
THIS is the kindness that leads to repentance.
Daniella is a forgiven person. She is dearly beloved of The Father. He has heard her every word. More than that, Jesus has made intercession to Him on her behalf, EVEN THOUGH she does not know him, for he knows her.
Pay for her that she will come to know him.
